Ok, I just wanted to check before I commented. I was thinking you'd lost it completely.
Nope. If you read my previous post in this thread, you'll see that my point is that the reason that the article that the other poster referenced shows that UT has the 4th highest number of "quality players" (however that term was defined in the article) currently playing in the NFL is that we placed a ton of great players in the NFL in the 90's and through the first few years in the 2000's. Since 2003, that pipeline for sending great players to the NFL has largely been cut-off. Now, if we have players make it in the NFL at all, the majority of them are backups or marginal players.
From this year's class, Jason Allen will probably end up starting for Miami at some point. As I noted earlier, his contract holdout has apparently prevented him from assuming a position in the starting lineup so far, but that will more than likely be temporary. I've heard positive comments about Parys Haralson in San Francisco, but I don't know what his status is as far as what string he currently is playing.
It's really easy to find information on the internet for the first, second, and third string guys that play offensive positions, especially skill positions due to fantasy football. However, it's much more difficult to find out this information for defensive players and offensive linemen. That's why I was asking if anyone knew if any of the other guys drafted since 2003 are starting.
