We have some really great fans. The best? Nah.

Hell, half the fans on VN are still fence sittin, "realists" who are "cautiously optomistic" that CBJ "might" be a good coach but they wiil withold their full support ( for fear of being disappoined) "until they see how the season plays out"

Cubs fans. Packer fans. Raider fans. True believers!!! We don't hold a candle to any of those crazy m f'ers. I wish we did. Sorry to burst your bubble. GBO

2 of the 3 you named are among the most hapless and inept franchises in sports. If that's the result of having the "best" fans, then I'll hope our fans learn to be not so good.

Or any old Arian Foster, JP Prince, Scotty Hopson, Ainge, Bray, Crompton, Clausen (either one), .......

But in general, Bama fans have us beat by a long shot. They will still wear Bama tee shirts to a job interview, wedding or funeral even if they have a losing season :)

Ask anyone that lives in Al, and ask them if bama fans wear t-shirts, or hats or have their flags flying if bama has a losing season. During the Shula years I'd pay you 10 dollars for everyone I saw wear anything related to Alabama and the answer would be, an resounding no.....I might have enough to buy you a tank of gas, and the same is for auburn..... with losing seasons, or even disappointing seasons you ALWAYS see a drop off of the fans...in this $hitty state.

On another note, even living in Al, I always wear something with a T on it unless it's at church and then my father-in-law would frown (Methodist minister).

Hey, oldfart, you realize that not even halfway into a 4-12 season the Raiders were struggling to put 50,000 in the stands? By Week 13 they barely had over 40,000.

Oh, but they're great fans. Right. We should strap on orange football pads with spikes and dress up like old school WCW heroes then we could be great fans too.

But yet, even after enduring its 4th losing season in 5 years and going into the Missouri game with a 4-5 record... attendance (89,000) would have sold out all but 10 stadiums in the country.

Don't kid yourself. EVERY fan base of ANY sport is like that. I would put Tennessee's fan base up against any fan base in any sport.
