Why we MUST beat Vandy

Brick by brick
Team 117
Butch Gets It
That little orange ceramic dog
And my favorite " Rise to the Top".... Top of what, Kentucky.

Pick one slogan and go with it.

When I think of Vandy one song comes to mind......remember the tidy bowl man for the toilet cleaner. Anchor that boat b--tch.

Funny thing is, you just named 5 different UT-related things. Other than Anchor Down, I couldn't name a single thing that Vandy people say or do. Not even joking.

VANDY will be no pushover! I saw highlights of them against Florida.
UT, during this off week needs to "review" last year's game and make damn sure it does not happen again!
We should have a "revenge factor" in effect for this one!
Losing to Vandy now seems to be the measuring stick that will break the ice in a coaches tenure.
It happened to both Kentucky and UT last year, I'm sure the Florida coach is definitely on the hot seat after today!

I like our chances as long as it doesn't turn into a roofie contest. If that happens, I'm afraid we simply can't match their talent.

So, you're saying we have a microscopic chance of beating Vanderbilt. Sheesh... Didnt know they suddenly became Alabama.

They will never be a Bama level team, but fact of the matter is, they're 5-4, while we're 4-6. Much as it pains me to say it, next week while UT has a bye, Vandy may well punch their ticket for their fourth bowl bid since 2008, and come into our house with a post season game and at least a break even record already guaranteed, while we have to beat them and Kentucky to break even.

If we win I don't see a repeat of the 2011 Kentucky game, so we will go bowling.

If we don't win, quite a few of the good incoming recruits that are lined up may well jump ship for better teams.

I win next week could be what it takes to truly start rebuilding the program. A loss will destroy what progress has been made and set UT back at least another year or two, if not longer.

A loss will not set us back a whole season. The recruits we have lined up have repeatedly said they will stick to their commitment no matter what.

No offense, but this thread is unnecessary.

Anyone who doesn't understand how critical this game is, against Vandy, can't seriously claim to be Vol.

Or he or she is really, really stupid.
