Compare the coaches in the 90's to the coaches after. Don't pretend there isn't a huge difference.
That's putting it lightly. There is really no doubt that we are going to have a ton of talent in the next few years. The fact is, Kiffin played both Saban and Meyer pretty evenly on the road with the worst team he will have. (next year may be the only exception)
I'd probably agree with that, but there is no doubt the Gator fans, coaches, and players expected to try for 56 that game.We can agree to disagree on Fulmer. You're glad he's gone and I can understand why.
And while you had opportunities to beat Bama on the road, I don't think you played Meyer "evenly" in Gainesville at all. UF didn't blow out UT, but at no point during that game was the outcome in doubt.
Last I checked, Fulmer was responsible for turning around the UT-Bama series in your favor.
From what I can tell his greatest sin was losing to Spurrier, allowing UGA to make the SECCG several times after Spurrier left, and not recruiting up to par with conference foes after the 90s.
I don't deny Fulmer's time was up at UT, but you guys make it sound as though the man contributed nothing whatsoever to the program. Fulmer was a damn good coach, and Kiffin will have a harder time matching his accomplishments at UT than some of you realize.
Can someone post the link from the Utah boards of Urbans track record of "I'm not leaving" statements before he bailed out of Utah and BGSU?

smooth. again, his track record doesn't speak well of him. he's lied about leaving, saying the same things he is saying now. all I can say is based off his previous statements, I'd be a little cautious in my "Urban isn't leaving" statements.
