Poteat, who also was named first-team Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-State, had 76 tackles, one sack and three interceptions. Poteat also was named the Big Eight Defensive Back of the Year. He scored 12 touchdowns, one interception returned for a touchdown, five receiving TDs, four rushing TDs and two punt returns for TDs.
