Was that the Smoky Mtn Jam show? Gran Torino, Violent Femmes, and Sister Hazel if I remember correctly

You are correct. I was like fifteen years old and had only heard a few studio tracks of theirs, and I remember thinking to myself "Man, these hippies smoke out in public like this? Awesome." World's Fair Park was packed to the gills, everybody in the whole place was Havin a Good Time!

After I read my post, I just realized that I've been seeing Panic for exactly half of my life. Damn, 1997 does NOT seem that long ago. Heres to 15 more years:rock::rock:

Hate to bust your memories but Climb debuted in 96 and was played twice that year (Boulder and Aspen).

Luvmuscle-
I was real close to going to the Hard Rock this year. Im jealous. Ive been to a few Holidaze trips and always have a good time with the Cloud9 folks.

You sir are correct. I was referencing the 2/96 show at the Ogden. I must have been thinking of Airplane. It was a long strange trip that night. Memory not what it use to be...

Saw them play '94 at the Worlds Fair Park.

First Widespread show I saw was the Bijou 11/17/91. Sun 60 opened who I also liked (and they had a hot singer).

2 days later, I caught Blues Traveler at the Bijou and I'm pretty sure Allgood opened.

That was certainly a good week.

btw, nice seeing some old Spreadheads on here. And if you are old-school and haven't given Jimmy a chance, you're missing out. He's doing some cool stuff with the guitar and I really like his sound the last couple years. Much more Houser feeling than McConnell ever played. Jimmy is a legend.

Machine Gun Jimmy is a good time show but I won't go to more than 2-3 hours to see them anymore. And I'm definitely not going outside the country for him.

Nobody bends 'em like Mikey, but you're right, Panic 3.0 is a vast improvement from 2.0.

Also for those who are new, pick up the Huntsville and Montreal archive releases as well.

Spread heads coming full force. I dunno if I am alone but this tour schedule has me pumped. Think I am seeing 5 shows in a month.

Going to the Dominican has kind of broken the bank, but I'm still thinking about trying to hit up the Nashville shows. Heard that venue is pretty cool.

I am definitely going to Louisville (they are playing in the palace which is an awesome venue) and Nashville. I believe it's in the outdoor theater which I have heard is amazing as well. Wish I was getting to go to the Dominican tho...

I haven't gone on tour since the first George year.[/QUOT

The George years were not the greatest but Jimmy has been pretty solid, especially the last couple of years.

We had an Allgood reference in an earlier post. Haven't thought of those guys in forever. Good stuff...

Jimmy has been solid. Just not worth traveling for multi night runs in multi cities.

I would like to go out to Colorado next month and see Furthur though.
