Will Ainge Get The Job Done?

Saturday's scrimmage will determine how soon Crompton starts to get with the first teamers. I expect Ainge to do fine, and to start all of the games this year without worry of a Crompton rota.

you're supposed to be the forever optimist!!! let's see how he does over the next two weeks of practice.....he still has time to get it....

I think he will get better. Only way he gets changed out is if he doesn't. Still seeing the glass as half full.

Some people tend to get caught up in pulling ainge as the quick fix. As much talent as Crompton has, it isn't a given that he's going to do anywhere near as good as Ainge does. Even if Ainge does bad. You may as well be calling for Bo Hardegree because you just don't know.

The reason I would pull Ainge wouldn't be to get a quick fix though I think it might help the season's prospects. I would only pull him if he continues to not improve. It isn't a matter of making a few mistakes. They'll all do that and you're right, the replacement might make even more. It's a matter of not continuing to make the same mistakes... which seems to be what Ainge is doing.

There is also that matter of him being very gun shy. You can't play QB in the SEC if you're afraid to take a hit. If he can't get over this, he's done playing QB anywhere.

I think he will be fine after he makes a mistake, I woulden't want to do that and have that little talk with cut on the sidelines.
