I keep hearing increased talk about him laying back and eventually tossing his hat in the ring again.I think he would be by far the best his party has to offer, maybe either party.Thoughts?

You can't deny he has more expierience than what either side would nominate. Because he was misquoted out of context on the internet comment superficially voters see him in a bad light. Fortunately for politicians, the rank and file voters ARE mindless cows that do vote party alone or on name recognition alone and do vote for who puts on the most commercials, and the most believeable character assasinating propaganda. This tactic has given us the lesser of two evils since truman.

When all the smoke is cleared out of the way, I tend to agree with your first sentence 100%.Having voted both party lines, my point, which you seem to understand, was that if he did run,he would have a better than average shot at winning IMO.

I as well have voted for candidates in both parties, I do think that if you honestly sit back and think in terms of who do we have on the shelf who can best lead this nation, considering on the job practical expierience it's Al Gore. I'm not saying he is spotless or is always right or even always smart. I'm just saying practically he's the best choice on the table if he chooses to run.

If Al Gore is the best person we have to run this country then I need to book my flight for Canada soon.

Gore is the Buzz Peterson of politics. He should stick to the minor league stuff like making *cough* documentaries.

I'd rather see Al Sharpton elected president than Al Gore. Sharpton doesn't take himself quite as seriously and has a much better sense of humor.

I would absolutely love to see Al Gore's feeble attempt to win the nomination of the Democratic Party. He has absolutely no chance of winning the general election, and even less a chance of winning the Democratic Primary.

Gore has about as much practical, on the job experience as Hillary had after William Jefferson's first term.

As I stated earlier, this topic was good for a laugh.

how about this, Gore has anointed himself the Pope of the Religion of Global Warming. If the left is terrified of a deeply Christrian GOP President, then I am terrified of a democrat who promotes theory as fact and confuses scientific "consensus" for concrete reality.

Further, Al Gore is a hypocrite. He decries the evils of tobacco, yet that is the crop that made his family millions. He hates the internal combustion engine, yet flounces about the country in jets, SUVs and large RVs. He also lives in a multi-million dollar, multi-room mansion with monthly electric and gas bills greater than most people's yearly cost. Further, as a landlord, the multi-millionaire Al Gore wouldn't even respond to his renter's complaints when the rental property was falling apart.

Happy now? or am I still a mindless cow because I refuse to kiss Al Gore's ass in the way you think I should?

Last I checked, he was Senator and VP. I'd say he's got more experience than just about all who are running. Now as far as anything else that is needed, that is a different story.

The only one in the crowd with any chief exec type of experience in Giuliani. Being in the 100 man rhetorical debating society in no way resembles a chief executive. If anything, those guys learn to be very crafty in the multiparty negotiating style of the chamber and not decision makers. VP as experience - be realistic. Those that get elected from that spot do so on name recognition alone.

Wasn't Nixon the last Senator to be elected President? Not sure that experience in the Senate Chamber did much.

And governors, at least the last two, have done a spectacular job.....one screws interns the other the rest of us.
