Will Dobbs be the starter?

The odds favor Worley being our qb come sept.

Could probably copy and paste this for the next 2 or 3 hundred threads on this subject.

I would guess so -- same as Joey Mathews was -- then Suggs and then Clausen the next 4 years. I kind of wonder why Dobbs didnt grad. HS early and enroll in Jan.

Both QBs are looking underwhelming so far...maybe we should just prepare for the future and play Dobbs if he comes in and can compete at least equally with Worely and Peterman..

Dobbs is not your ordinary true freshman from a mental; standpoint....he is supposedly an academic genius and mastered his HS offense in one single day...mentally he is easily the best we have had since Manning....and let's not forget Ainge beat some pretty good teams including Florida as a true freshman...with this offensive line Dobbs will have plenty of time to make decisions and throw it...

I personally am really excited to see what this kid can do...his learning curve should be much much quicker than your average freshman QB...

I can master a HS offence in a day. Guess we should just scrap the season and practice until next fall.

if he doesnt start.....then the issue becomes, by what week does dobbs see action/start? Hopefully before October.....lets not feed him to the sharks.

The starter gets fed to the sharks.

The backup is the popular guy.

You know how it works.

This guy's gonna be the next Rod Wilks. Not a single offer from a top program and legion fans have him as a heisman candidate his first year.

Mentally he's the best we've had since Manning? Casey Clausen was pretty darn good. Those guys did it, he's yet to step on campus. I do think he's gonna be a fine QB here, possibly a superstar. But until I see him do it, I can't see this statement as anything but pure speculation.

Why on Earth people think that every incoming freshman QB is the best thing since Peyton Manning is beyond me. Most people don't even remember he was 3rd on the depth chart behind Colquitt and Helton.

Come on people, get a grip.

Dobbs didn't come in as an early enrollee because he is currently hiking the AT from Springer Mountain, Ga to Mount Katahdin, Maine with nothing but Coach Bajakian's personal playbook.

He didn't volunteer to do this though...Rod Wilkes told him to.

I think Worley will win the job out of spring ball but fall camp will be a different story
