Will Dobbs be the starter?

How do you have all this supposed insight into Dobbs? Are you his father? PR agent? Both?

I do believe the staff wants either Peterman or Dobbs to win the starting job because of their running ability.

But they will play whoever gives them the best chance to win.

No.... As smart as he is it will not prepare him for an SEC defense. I wouldn't be so quick to write off worley or peterman just because they haven't been lights out in the spring with a totally new offense and coaches.

Not true at all. Dobbs has as a good of a chance as anyone. Ainge and Schaeffer both came in in the summer and played well their FR year and I guarantee Dobbs is smarter than either and Johnny Football was learning a new offense and never played a down. Definitely not something to write off.

Dobbs is not your ordinary true freshman from a mental; standpoint....he is supposedly an academic genius and mastered his HS offense in one single day...mentally he is easily the best we have had since Manning....

I've heard he can walk on water, too. That should come in handy in case of heavy rain.

I never said dobbs couldn't do it. I just said that his Smarts wouldn't prepare him for being on the field with the kinda pressure Florida, uga, bama, uscJr and the rest of the sec are gonna apply. I'm not sayin a freshman can't do it because they can but everybody thinkin he is gonna come in in the fall an take that job from worley or peterman needs to rethink it. Johnny football was a R/s to I think.

You know we have another incoming freshman QB?

Like what's your guy's fascination with Dobbs?

Riley is just as good if not better.

It is obvious that the last QB that started at Tennessee was a finalist in the Elite 11 competition.....so that makes Dobbs the shoe in for the role right?

Both QBs are looking underwhelming so far...maybe we should just prepare for the future and play Dobbs if he comes in and can compete at least equally with Worely and Peterman..

Dobbs is not your ordinary true freshman from a mental; standpoint....he is supposedly an academic genius and mastered his HS offense in one single day...mentally he is easily the best we have had since Manning....and let's not forget Ainge beat some pretty good teams including Florida as a true freshman...with this offensive line Dobbs will have plenty of time to make decisions and throw it...

I personally am really excited to see what this kid can do...his learning curve should be much much quicker than your average freshman QB...
If we have to start a true freshman over a junior (former Gatorade player of the year) and a sophomore with loads of potential then we're in trouble. I love Dobb's upside and Ferguson too, but neither are physically ready for SEC play as true freshmen. I think Worley or Peterman will excel in this offense by the time the real bullets start flying.

I am a 4.0 in college and grad school and I don't call myself a academic genius !! This kid is just out of high school and wonder what defines him as academic genius apart from his desire to be an aeronautical engineer !! Tesla was academic genius, so was Edison..they had inventions to their names before coming out of high school !!
Now going back to football. Heard Dobbs has great football skills and is supposed to be prolific QB. But he is so far only played against High School not SEC.
Worley in his HS days was 'Gatorade Player of the Year' and based on experience and two years of college team snaps, I don't see why Worley won't/shouldn't get first shot !!
Finally, If Dobbs comes in and plays light out, like people are suggesting, and beats Peterman and Worley..boy how happy i would be. That means we would have landed an amazing QB . Imagine 3 months out of high school if he can beat College Junior with SEC starts and HS Player of the Year Tag, what he could do as a Sophomore or Junior !!

Go VOLS !!

For a 4.0 student you write poorly.

He was a RS but that meant nothing with Sumlin taking over and being equal from a knowledge standpoint on the offense. I doubt Dobbs starts but so far no QB has established himself as SEC ready. I am honestly pulling for Peterman to win the job. Not getting help from the WR's isnt helping at all.

As a 1972 college graduate, I don't believe that one can compare 4.0 now with 4.0 then. I know that the college entrance exam scores have gone up, but the tests are not what they used to be.
