Find one post, just one, where I spited CDD. Even when it was over and done with, I and several others remained civil about him rather than spew venom. But then, twisted people will make twisted claims. You're a moderator? If so, you probably can do what one did and modify a post to make it seem like someone said something they didn't. But my challenge stands, find one post where I did what you claim that 'Y'all' did. Be careful son, because if MZBerry is around, I think she and others can testify I never slighted CDD. If anything, I'm overly defensive about both our players and coaches. Now proceed to twist that too. It's what 'Y'all" do after all. And on that note, I abandon this thread.

Haha you're not very smart. I know you never said anything negative about your hero. Y'all attacked those of us who were critical of ypur hero. Learn to read.

Dooley did a lot for this uni. He was a victim of a lot of bad luck though. During what was to be his best season (and ours) he broke his hip. Refused pain killers to keep a strait head, put himself in jeopardy without a single *****, whine, or complaint. Then he got ran out by an internet board. I wish him the best. I got a feeling he will be back in this stadium one day. I am definitely a fan of BJ though. He might be the best coach Vols ever had.

Dude please stop with this lying , fantastical bs. Dooley did nothing good for us and actively sabotaged his replacement by incompetence and lack of effort. He was a quitter and loser. If he is back in the stadium he will be holding the wire for a real Hc's headset. You and Oskie live in some fantasy world where Dooley was actually a competent coach and good hire.

Victim? Haha that's so damned funny. He is a victim of his own ineptitude. He is a victim of his own making. He is without a doubt the worst coach in UT history. Because of who is father is he was given a job he wasn't qualified for by an AD who was also in a job that he himself wasn't qualified for.

If you guys had hip surgery you would flat on your back asking for chix noodle soup. Football karma is going to nail you. Don't be surprised.

Well, the real shock is realizing how many Vols fans are spiteful, grudge retaining, hatemongers. Seemingly at every opportunity. Since you have a beef with Dooley and obviously me as well, reflective in your screen name, carve it as you see fit. All I can say is:

Alice in Wonderland- Alice does the Futterwacken. - YouTube

Dead on Woodsman. It's the spiteful, grudge retaining, etc type comments about the guy that drives me nuts. Obviously they can't see it cause they continue to say the samething in this thread. Volbeef and k- kong town are some of the worse too.

Ask anyone in the know and they will tell you Dooley did great things for this University. He did most of the behind the scenes and necessary stuff that sets us up to be a future success. Then you guys ran him out of here when he broke his hip, after he endangered himself to try to hold the season together. Classy work V.N.

"Btw - I want to send you a virtual hug.... U either didn't get any as a child or the ones you did get went further than they should of."

Can I steal this? :eek:lol:

Ha!! Have at it man! :hi:

Nice post btw Totally agree. People just don't see how the negativity and hate they spewed this past season just engulfed the season. Then they r going to cry about how he "gave up" during the season like these same vengeful people would do jack for the next guy if they were about to get fired. Funny how volbeef comes on here this morning and says yes he agrees that the hateful and spiteful talk is bad but it's the Dooley supporter. The guy was one of the most hateful and spiteful this past season and was there from the start.

People blame me for being stuck on Dooley and being emotionally attached to him. Ask any girl I've ever dated if this is possible and they would laugh. My emotional attachment is for what is best for UT. If this fanbases doesn't learn from the mistakes it made this past yr we will be doing the same thing with CBJ soon. I don't want that because it's bad for UT. The blind optimism on this site is going to burn CBJ down quick if he doesnt produce ASAP.

Correction, he got ran off because he is NOT a good coach (trying to be nice here).. Also, knowing what we know now about the recruiting situation he probably should have been run off for that alone. That said, I do believe he did a few 'behind the scenes' things that were good for the program and will make Butch's job a little bit easier.

What's funny is that Dooley himself has moved on, yet a good half of UT's fan base hasn't. You can't pretend the train wreck that has been the last 3 years didn't happen, but you can move on from it because it's over and look forward to next year. There's no point in beating it up anymore....It does no good whatsoever.

Has he?? Just because he got a new job doesn't mean the guy has moved on. I'm sure, just like any normal person, is still questioning where things went wrong and how to fix it. He's the son of the SEC and he had one shot at being the HC at Tennessee and it didn't go well for whatever reason.

He came in at the lowest pt and was behind the eightball from day one. When he got here he was standing on quicksand not on a solid foundation. Without a doubt he made it better for CBJ and the future. Don't want to hear this crap about how he gave up on recruiting this past year either. He got no support from the fans that wanted Gruden and the AD that was spineless to at least help put out the flames. No one on here could say they would do anything that favors the company they work for when they know they are gonna get fired no matter what.

Haha he LEFT at the lowest point in UT history and HE IS RESPONSIBLE for us getting that low! Y'all can continue to look for excuses but he had a chance and FAILED because he's not a good coach. Period.

I will shamelessly admit that I watched his press interview on the Dallas website...He basically said he had to move on ("the train has passed, you can't look back", etc) to be useful to anybody. Learn from your mistakes, and move on. Of course you have to work through things and I'm sure he'll be working through them for the rest of his life...You can't just fail like that in that kind of public light and be 100% fine and dandy with it. But if you live in the past you'll never move forward.

Look, I defended him for a long time. I know he probably came into more of a crappy situation than any fan will ever know or understand. I have a lot of respect for him as a person, and I will never condone the amount of hate a lot of fans seem to have for him. But when you look at it, he was not faultless--there were a lot of mistakes. Fair or not, crappy situation or not, you can't be a coach at SEC level, be paid millions of dollars, and still make glaring mistakes and carry a losing record. You can't ignore the results, and I'm sure he of all people understands that.

Does anyone else on VN compare the bolded and the underlined and wonder... "Huh?" The idea that he gave up is crap, yet an excuse is given for giving up?

Does anyone else on VN consider it basic work ethic to continue working if you continue to cash paychecks?

Just a couple of questions for the rest of VN.

No. Not unless he'd be willing to return to the bottom of the barrel to another Louisiana Tech type of situation.
