Will Ferguson get snaps against S Alabama?

With mini-term and summer sessions it is more than possible. (That's basically 3 semesters when normal students are away). However, it depends on course offerings.

It would also depend on whether the Master's program in his field requires a thesis or has a non-thesis option.

Ferguson will see the field.

He will go in and play against S. Alabama's mop-up duty.

Then everyone will talk about how awesome he played against the 3rd stringers from a low-tier team that had 2 wins last year.

Then everyone will want him to start.

He and Dobbs are the future of this program. They should play and get experience. What we have now isn't going yo get us anywhere.

The Alpharetta/Milton game is on YouTube also and I think it's a good example of his athleticism.

He shrugged off/avoided 3 or 4 would be sacks from Carl Lawson in that one

Every time I watch one of these recruiting videos for really any player as much as I come away impressed I'm always reminded what a huge leap they are making at the Sec level. Whether it's the coverages or the bad angles, or speed of the guy they are "burning" it's humbling. The SEC is the amalgamation of a ton of big fish from small ponds.

 Uuuuhhhhhh..........Larry....You better go back and watch Dobb's highlight tape. The one thing he has above the rest is pocket presence, and elusiveness when scrambling or running with the ball. Made a TON of plays with this feet, so I'd like to know where you're getting your info from.

I know right. Dobbs was recruited and known for his mobility. He is also very intelligent. Peterman just doesn't have the skill set to lead an offense of this caliber

RF seems to have a cockiness about him. He'll throw a pick and be unaffected in that he'll want the ball and not worry about the interception. All he's ever done is win. It's in his DNA. I'm not pushing him for starter now. I'm just saying I think he is our future QB in Nov. if we are out of bowl consideration or next year if not. If I'm wrong and it's Dobbs or whoever then great but I think Ferguson has Johnny Football's mentality and hopefully a little bit of his ability one day. I'll probably get flamed but it's just an opinion not a prediction.
Either one will be just as good as what we have now

I never watch highlights, especially high school. no way to gauge competition.

sources provide my info.

I will admit info could be wrong. Not sure how much they have seen to make assessment.

had an ex-pro tell me this week, the jump from high school to BCS level football is twice as hard as going from college to NFL

I totally agree, go back and take a look at Petermans HS film and someone could make the argument that he looks our next great QB.

They show great highlights because they are promoting the player no matter who it is. They never show the lowlights. Any one if us could pretty much have a highlight film but we know there is no way in hell we could go and be productive in the field.

To me he would be the least affected thrown into a game or situation. It would seem to me to be extremely difficult for some team to shake this kid's confidence in himself. If he is the 2 I hope he gets a couple series this weekend rather than have something happen in the Ga. game and he just gets thrown in.

I just thought it was interesting to watch a full game of Dobbs's against a team with multiple future SEC guys on the field.

I know you have to take it with a grain of salt, but Lawson is a starting SEC defensive end and I think Dobbs eluding him multiple times says SOMETHING about his mobility at least.

Peterman's mobility is better than both of the true's. neither are that mobil

No offense, but that's just not true. Peterman is a pocket passer who runs a little better than Worley, is a little more athletic. Not trying to pile on the kid but he's not a dual threat QB like some have made him out to be. Dobbs is more dual threat although he too is better in the pocket....same for Riley.

Yeah, peterman kept the ball on a read early in the game and it was actually a good read. He was surprisingly slow and by the time he got over to the line of scrimmage defenders had time to come across. That was the play where I realized he wasn't really as much of a dual threat as we've been hoping.

I've not seen them all so I certainly would not debate with you on it. Just what I've been told...

Hasn't Dobbs been practicing against the defense with the practice squad? I could be wrong, but I thought I read that somewhere

If either freshman sees playing time it will probably be just handing off the ball which want mean much. I would like to see them play with all the options of the starter and see what either one can do.
