If the off field stuff that has happened starts to implicate staff, yeah, he'll be gone, but not under his conditions. Texas or Southern Cal? What the hell are you smoking? There ain't no way.

Don't want that petulant little punk going anywhere until we're "UT" again and whip his arse a couple times. Then he can take his sorry ass to the MAC where he belongs (actually he's a good coach and should get a good job after leaving pansy, but I'm talkin smack.... you know what I mean) .....

There are not a whole lot of coach options available this year for Texas or USC to choose from. Texas may call around on Saban and Muschamp, but other than Chad Morris at Clemson and Smart at Bama there aren't really any other coordinators doing well. USC has interviewed Del Rio and apparently Orgeron wants the job. I doubt with Kiffin just being there they would want to hire his double Franklin. I do not think Franklin is a fit at Texas either.

One Scenario that may play out is IF Saban were to go to Texas, Smart would probably take over Bama. IF Sumlin leaves for the NFL, then Franklin could get a call from A&M.

The other Scenario is Muschamp goes back to Texas and FLorida opens up and then I could see Florida calling on Franklin. JMO, but he will not be at USC or Texas but may move as fall out from those hires and if Sumlin leaves for the NFL.

Are we scared of JF I wont him to stay, it makes the game more interesting if he is there head coach I believe a few on here are scared of him, I wish one day it would come down to TENNESSEE and vandy for the EAST, now that would be something to see with everybody down in the east who knows I know one thing we are coming to the top, like to give them a beat down like 52-3 for the east and then see if old JF wants to give any chest bumps, what would you give to see that look on his face after a azz kicking.:bottom:

I really don't think TEXAS will take Muschamp, they have seen all they wont out of him with the gators, the gators will go after STRONG and he will go if he gets a offer, his luck is fixing to run out where he is at.

Muschamp is not going to get a call from Texas, in fact, I don't even think the Texas job will open up.

And I think Orgeron will get the USC gig, at least for next year.

If Muschamp gets fired, or leaves(which I hope he doesn't, so we can whip dey azz) Strong will get the call, and he will answer. AND HE WILL ANSWER

Franklin would be stupid to stay, but Im not sure he is going to get any sexy calls. Which he will turn into "I love Vandy, Vandy is on the rise, and Vandy will continue to love him for it, until they realize that Vandy hasn't gotten better, the SEC has just been beaten up lately.

I personally think he will, escpecially if say USCw or texas comes calling.

If So Cal or Texas calls James Franklin, it would be due to either dialing the wrong number, or calling him at his second job, in which case he better scurry on over with the pizzas, because the coaching search committee is getting hungry.

That rape investigation is one ugly albatross that should disqualify him from consideration by a USC/Texas caliber-program, at least for this hiring cycle, until such time as the dust and fallout clears from that situation. There could be a number of lesser programs which remain a step up from Vanderbilt which might consider him. He would be very wise to get his carcass out of Dodge while he is most marketable. The writing is on the wall. Butch is already beating the unholy feces out of Franklin on the recruiting trail; it is only a matter of time before he begins doing it consistently on the field.

If USC or Texas offer, then he will go without hesitation.

I see neither of these two doing so. Can't see any other program that would be in need of a coach particularly worth leaving for. So, I'm gonna go with he will still be there, unless he heads to a Uconn or Maryland type program. Never know, WVU might come knockin, althogh I think Holgs gets one more year.

Another scenario would be, Texas or USC going after Art Briles, or Sumlin, and Franklin getting interest at one of those places.

He is staying

I agree. "Man's got to know his Limitations". C.E. That being said, he is successful at vandy, Franklin loves coaching in the SEC, just this year he beat GA and FL, he would be crazy to leave, until he can beat bama or others. I'm thinking he wants on his resume, already beat TN, last year, beat GA, UF, I think he's hungry for more, I don't think he will leave vandy, maybe 2 years from now.

USC and Texas won't come calling.
If the right job opens up, he better leave, cause he has peaked there.
I think Purdue or Wake Forest, possibly Louisville of Strong leaves, are options. I could also see Nebraska if they pass on Frost (presuming they make change).
Not so sure Obrien won't leave PSU, and Franklin could get shot there

They passed on him before though, and I think there is bad blood there if I recall correctly. I dont think Florida makes a change. I also agree that Texas won't either. I bet they give Mack next year so they can organize a graceful transition. Miss State should make a change imo

No way USC or Texas offers him. JMO

I agree,, I don't think there will be an opening in Texas,, and Hayden wants a USC alum to be his football coach. Coach O has participated in 4 NC's. 2 at Miami and 2 at USC... It will be interesting to see what the reason for Coach O not being the coach.

I'm not aware of any bad blood, I will have to look into that. I think Strong and been proving his worth more and more since the Muschamp hire. I truly think, unless what you say about the bad blood, The gators have their eye on coach Strong. I do tend to agree with you that FL won't make a change this year. But is Muschamp doesn't shape up, he is out next year for sure. And I think we have just the team to ensure that happens.

I thought he had said Florida passed on him as HC because his wife was white, may be wrong though
