Looks like the big name schools that need head coaches have just about found their guy. Does that mean that Kiffin is still damaged goods in the HC department?
Would love to beat him in Knoxville, either as a HC or a coordinator.

Unless I'm missing something, he's stuck at Bama for another season.

Or maybe the assistant coaching carousel is just getting cranked up. Seems like, with Kiffin's ego, he wouldn't take a lateral move to be an assistant coach somewhere else.

Why do I wish bad things on this man????? :eek:hmy:

When Bama loses to MSU he will be unemployed. I would be surprised if any major school hired him as a head coach but anything is possible.

Miles should hire him away from Saban...although I would like for the Vols to finally exact revenge on him next year.

I'd take Kiffin all day over DeBord (and Jones' running of our offense) and just about any other OC out there. Coker is only going to get better and Bama will just churn out another bruising RB that no one can stop. Saban would be a fool to let him go. I don't think MSU beats Bama.

I'm not sure where I stand on Kiffin as a HC.

Coker will be gone.

Thought he had one more year, my bad. Will be our luck either Hurts breaks through as the next Tebow or Eason flips to Bama

OR of course, most likely, Barnett returns from his sickness/hospital stay to be the Heisman winner going away

Alabama loses a lot next year. By my count, 7 starters on defense and 5 on offense assuming Henry leaves. They have great depth but also lose quality backups as well. They will be young next year.

While I would love to see an 8-4, hell even a 9-3 Bama team and their fans in total meltdown, I don't think it will come to pass. Because even with losing that many starters, they still have a loaded roster even with the youth.

But dropping 3 or 4 games next year? The cries will be heard around the world.

He is an average OC, not sure why everyone thinks he is great. He owns some of the most notorious playcalling gaffes in CFB history

His numbers are good year in and year out. Not sure why so many #fightingbutches want to pretend like he doesn't put up great offensive numbers.

It's easy to put up awesome numbers when you have talent like Bama at your disposal.

His offense was good here and at USC

Exactly. It's not like we had the 4th leading passer and rusher in the league or anything. Or the fact that Crompton was 2nd in the league in TD's, Hardesty was 3rd in rushing TD's, 2nd in TD's from scrimmage and 3rd in total yards from scrimmage. All while playing 2 undersized walkon's on the OL. Kiffin made a previously anemic offense look like it had some semblance that it knew what it was doing.

And it tapered off towards the end at USC. He wasn't here long enough to tell how much of an impact he would have had in the long run.

It's easy to say he has great numbers when you have Heisman contender players all around you.

Crompton's stats were skewed that year by the big totals that were racked up against Western Kentucky and Memphis. His 3 picks against UCLA and his 1st half performance vs Auburn basically cost Tennessee those games. Tenn scored 17 points or less 5 separate times that year. It's hard for me to give Kiffin much credit for improvement in Crompton when quite frankly there wasn't any in games that mattered.

They lose a lot every year, unfortunately one 4/5 star leaves and a new one replaces them.
