Walls has been admitted to UT but not the clearinghouse. Looks good, but you never know. Should find out Monday or Tuesday with him and Mike Edwards. Green is not looking good.

Walls and Edwards have both been accepted into UT, but the Clearinghouse is still holding them up. They neither one can be a part of the team until they are cleared, but both are expected to be cleared...

Things are not looking good for Green. Most likely, he will not be member of the 2009 Vols squad...

That is dissapointing about Green. I thought he was going to be good. Especially with his growth in height.

Is it his GPA or ACT?

I don't understand what is taking the clearing house so long...either he does have the qualifying grades and test scores or he doesn't. What's the deal?

Correct me if I'm wrong but DT would seem like one of our least cerebral positions on Defense. Orgeron just wants his DTs getting up field and creating havoc. Maybe some missed mental time wouldn't hurt Walls as bad as others. He just needs time to get in football shape.

I know its beating a dead horse but from what I know about meat market Orgeron knows how to work the system, if he says Walls is in, he will be in.

I thought Edwards is already cleared by the clearinghouse, and walls is still waiting. Almost sure of it.

EDIT: N/M, I see the posts saying ME isn't in are old ones.

Anyone have anything new? I keep hearing he will be cleared, but... He has missed 9 practices as of today. That is going to be tough for a freshman to make up.

I believe they are researching or trying to get clarification of an on line course that he took. Walls paperwork is very complicated.

And at this point I am less optimistic about Walls' arrival.

I may be wrong but don't you go to Hargrave to get your grades up and in order?

At this point, he would go to Prep School if I'm not mistaken. I could be wrong.

I think he'll make it too. He might be behind a bit. And this may just be my wishful thinking, but I think he makes it through.

Well, I guess late is better than missing the '09 season. Hope he gets in, we need the depth bad, and we don't even have an injuries yet.

I personally don't feel like Walls gets cleared an here is why. Edwards is practicing with the team and Walls is not. That doesn't make sense to me. Why would both of them be waiting to be cleared and only one of them is at camp? Sounds like the coaches expect Edwards to be cleared but Walls not to be. If he were to make it in, he would have so much ground to make up, it would take a while for him to get in the rotation this season. If they truly felt like the would be cleared, wouldn't he at least be in fall camp like Edwards?
