Will Marlon Walls make it?

No, each conference has different rules. The SEC's just seem to be more strict. It would be possible for him to enroll at Memphis...

He's already enrolled in Tennessee. The clearinghouse is a hurdle you have to jump to play football. He can't play anywhere if the clearinghouse doesn't clear him.

"Coach Orgeron and coach Kiffin called me about 30 minutes ago (2:30pm est)," Walls said from his Memphis bedroom while gathering up his things.

"When I saw the number something told me today that I was going to get the call so when they called I just kind of stood up and started smiling. And they went crazy on the phone. It's time to go to work. They don't me to get here in five minutes. I am packing up right now."

In anticipation of getting to campus, Walls, who has been working out with a trainer, has kept himself ready."I have been working out everyday. I am in pretty good shape. I have been running every day in this heat. I am probably right at 290. I feel like I am in good shape. I am able to do those backflips."

Per VQ... If he is 290lbs and can do backflips, he is a dang beast. He says he will be at practice tomorrow...

Hubbs said that Green was now a lock to be headed to either the JuCo or Prep School route, that James was undecided right now which route that he would take, but Hubbs said there was no chance that Green would be on campus this fall. He also said something interesting that he wasn't too sure that no matter which route Green takes, that Hubbs wasn't sure that UT would re-recruit him wherever he lands. But, the Walls thing is fantastic news, that much is for sure.

"They told me I better be in shape," Walls said. "They told me that needed me to come in and play now."

Has Walls kept himself in shape? "I was out running their linebacker and my brother Greg King earlier this summer," Walls explained. "I'm in great shape, I have been working out every day in hopes I would receive this news, this is news to my ears."

According to Walls he is currently 6-foot-4, and 293-pounds.

"I'm ready to get to Rocky Top," Walls said. "I'm leaving tonight and I will be on the practice field in the morning. Oh yeah I can do back flips, I'm doing them now over the news."

This is from a FREE READ from Scout everyone should check it out...

I figured it was just a matter of time. Huge news. We would have been in very bad shape without him. I only hope he can get up to speed enough to contribute very quickly because he is needed.

I know we all speculate that James Green will be either going the JUCO route or Prep school, but I just noticed that he actually has a number on the UT Roster. If you scroll down, it has James Green listed as number 81. I don't know if that means anything, but it maybe an indicator of what the Coaches are thinking might happen.
