Will Maymon be 100%?

According to multiple news outlets, Maymon suffered from a post surgical staph infection a/k/a Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection.

I've never seen one news outlet report that. I've heard a radio host speculate that is what happened.

Strange that some have seen him limping around campus. I heard he was jumping all over the place in practice and looked to be 100 percent. If he isn't back by November of this year I doubt he will ever be back or able to play again.

No one from UT has ever gotten specific over the exact nature of his injury. Lot of secrecy about it for someone. I've heard that he had an infection after the final surgery and had a lot of problems as a result. No one from UT has said that and have gone to great lengths to describe the matter only as a 'setback.'

I don't know if he'll be 100% for next year. Everyone at UT has said that he will be. I haven't seen him running, jumping or doing anything full speed but he isn't walking around with a pronounced limp like he was in December.

Here is my edited post which is above and was edited yesterday after the "know it all kid (bto)" wanted a link:

Let me edit my own post so as to be more accurate about Maymon and his left knee injury and post-surgical complications in order to appease Mr. Accuracy himself - BTO.

Multiple sports commentators, radio personalities and the like have speculated that Maymon suffered from a post surgical infection following his left knee surgery. Some have gone further to specualte that he suffered from a post-surgical staph infection a/k/a Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection.

Frankly, it is the only reasonable explanation for Maymon's absence from the line-up this season and his slow recovery from a relatively minor cartilage repair.

So I simply ask for a link and you resort to a whining tantrum and name calling rant...guess that means there's no link and you're going off of Tony Basilio. Enough said :hi:

Jimmy Hyams, John Adams, Rucker..... to name a few....

No whining in my edited post or recent post - just making corrections based upon your request for a link. And calling you a "know it all" per CJ is not a "name calling rant". I seem to recall you saying worse to me a few days ago.

And I may listen to TB once a month.

OK BTO - please share with all of VolNation why you think that Maymon was unable to play basketball this season in consideration of the fact that he went through a minor cartilage surgery on his left knee in June 2012 and barring "complications" he should have been ready to play in the 2012 - 2013 season and was expected to return to the line-up.

Do you deny that he had "post-surgical complications"?

I've not said one time he didn't have staph, you stated it as fact, when asked for a link to your multiple reports you backtracked to quote jimmy hyams and tony Basilio...oh and wes freaking Rucker, so in other words there were no links.

That's fine, you wanna assume that's what happened that's fine...I personally don't know what happened, obviously something happened though. You wanna speculate on what go for it, but it's speculation and not fact like you were trying to pass it off as.

I never quoted Basilio....the FACT is that YOU brought his name up. I do not even have the freaking opportunity to listen to him to even know what his opinion is on the matter.

Maymon not being healthy and McCrae going pro = no NCAA next year.

Let's hope that is not how it shakes out, but I have a feeling that by the time Martin gets it figured out that we will see a repeat of the last two years.

McRae is going pro? News to me.
