Seems like a nice kid.
Hopefully will step up take over some of the offense creation next year since Prince and Maze won't be there.

We have seen him create in the past.
Apparently he plays differently in the RockyTop league(they probably all do). This summer should be fun to watch.

He did a better job on defense this year than I thought he would.

I'm optimistic for him for next year...... at UT, not nba

We need to give Scotty phone numbers for two people who could really help him out.

1. Shawn Taggart
2. Darius Washington Jr.

You might be saying "Who and who?" Exactly...these are two guys in the past 5 years or so who decided to leave college early and enter the draft on God knows whose advice. Where are they now? I bet wikipedia would tell us what European team they ride the bench on...if they are lucky. I'm sure they'd tell him to stay and get coached up.

Hopson's future:

sign a $1 million 3 year contract to play in the league next year.

play 3 years in the league then get cut.

go broke and move back to hopkinsville as the local bball legend.

That's about 3 years more than you'll lace them up. And about 935,000 more than you'll likely make in a 3 year span.

Not the worst life, really.

I sure hope so.

I am done wishing for him to breakout. Go breakout in the D league. Get lost Hop.

You guys are so tough...Don't get me wrong, I see all the same flaws in attitude, drive, and heart, but he's just a kid. A KID! If you forget it, just look at his baby face. He's got some growing up to do, which is pretty normal for a young man with his talent and age. He'll come back, Pearl will continue working on him, and we should all hope that another year of being coached up will lead to a successful career and life.

He hasn't lived up to potential, but he's got time, great teammates, and a great coaching staff. I wish him the best.

goes in the third round at the earliest

I wish some team would be stupid enough to draft him and free up a scolly for a real player. Even the Clippers aren't that stupid.

Glad to see you finally see the writing on the wall. You have sparred with me numerous times over what a great talent he was. I have always said he was way over hyped / rated. He is soft in every aspect of the game, not to mention 0 heart..

I hope he stays and develops into a first round pick....hopefully the ending of that Mich St. game lit some type of fire under his azz...I felt like he wanted to be the man, he took the last shot, and hit a runner in the lane before that, he seemed to WANT the ball at the end of that game, and showed a little fire and intensity IMO.....I know we are entitled to our own opinions and we all wish he was ballin like his hype, but we should stay positive and supportive of the kid, he did a lot for UT this year

You people sure are hard on a kid. Funny thing is most of the arseholes posting garbage 1) have no knowledge of the game. 2) would fold under the pressure he's under. 3) aren't half as talented AT ANYTHING as he is at ball. 4) I wish someone treated you guys like you often treat our players.

Most of us arseholes never said we thought any of this (although I'd like to think I know a little about the game), but don't think he is 1st round quality...stop jumping to conclusions.

1)you don't need to be a basketball scholar to see that right now he does not have first round ability. 2) is he under any more pressure than Henry, Cousins, Wall? And they are freshmen. 3) just having talent is not enough 4) how is it mistreatment to say that someone is not first round material?
