Will the SEC expand?

i think the academic thing is a convenient excuse/cover for OU.

bottom line is that if A&M can join the SEC as a prestigious AAU member and leave behind 3 other AAU members (Texas, Kansas and Iowa State), then OU should have no issue joining the SEC either with currently 4 AAU schools (UF, Vandy, A&M and Mizzou)...

it's not like we are the WAC or something... :p

Well, for whatever the actual reason might be, they (OU) do.

(Who knows...heck it may even be just be how many more AAU schools the Pac-12 has than either of those...what are they at 7? 8?, perhaps otherwise just seems not much more than a lateral move to them...though I wouldn't think it's that alone...could just be the size of the LA market and getting into it)

keep the sEC at 14--more money for each school. Adding 2 ACC teams will not increase media money enough to justify.

Add 2 schools who already have tradition/rivalry with existing schools in the SEC East...Clemson (Georgia and S. Carolina) and Florida State (Florida) and move Missouri to the West where they belong and it's done.

i dont see UNC, Va, Va Tech, or Duke leaving the ACC...its a basketball powerhouse, and with Va tech as the exception...those are all basketball schools. FSU voted against raising the exit fees...along with maryland...and maryland bolted for the Big 10...If we add FSU...i dont see south florida...i still think Cinnci is in play due to their track record in basketball and football, and it would open up recruiting in ohio for the SEC against UM at OSU.
