Will we ever see a starting quarterback from Tennessee in the nfl?

Dobbs was like a starter for 6-7 games last year between the cardinals and Vikings despite not having any preseason work with either. Had to rely on his athletic skills and quickly teams game planned around him
Hope he gets another shot with a team who devotes more time on him.

Hooker can play at that level, but is sitting behind one of the nation's best QBs right now. Outside of a 5 INT game recently, Goff is playing like a man possessed. If the Lions continue to dominate and they stay comfortably ahead in the NFC north, then I would expect Hooker to get more chances to play and potentially start a junk game towards the end of the season if they want to keep Goff healthy for a postseason run.

Milton....I think his days of playing on active rosters will be limited at best. The Pats are a mess and he is not the QB who can fix them. He will enjoy a long career as a potential backup but most likely a practice squad QB. Still, he will make good money and always has the opportunity to get called up.

Nico has a real shot. He has the height, good developing arm talent, and is getting better at reading defenses especially post snap. However, he really needs some meat on those bones. I wince when he goes down because it is like seeing a giraffe get toppled. He is so stinking tall and lanky that he could get snapped at some point. He needs to stay healthy, protect his body instead of fighting for an extra yard, and get a little stronger. He doesnt have to be Josh Allen big, but getting beefier will help his durability against NFL defenses that would love to snap him in half.
Two of those 5 were after deflections and 1 was a hail Mary at the end of the first half. Goff is solid, reliable and accurate

He played pretty well for AZ IMO. Didn't look as good in MN.

I think if it were not for Jared Goff's good play (with the exception of throwing 5 INTs last week but still winning), Hooker might be starting for the Lions. He might have been a starter at other NFL teams. Definitely the Titans! Still wish they would have taken him over Levis.
Everytime I see Levis' stat line. I just shake my head.

There have been a few that I can remember right off hand: Manning, I think Tee Martin saw a start or two but my memory is failing....seems like maybe he started in the World Football League, Peterman has started for Buffalo, Dobbs has started.......so there are a few. It's unpredictable. Hooker could start at some point especially if the Lions clinch a high playoff spot. Milton was contending for the starting job early with New England but fizzled as preseason went along.

I think Milton will get a chance at some point for somebody. He has more athletic ability than 95% of the QBs in the league.

Milton - not a chance
Hooker and Dobbs - yes hopefully. Hooker has the best chance

No chance for Dobbs, and that was pretty easy to see after his time here. He isn't a classic pocket QB, and even as a mobile QB just isn't consistent enough for a team to build around like a Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen. He is a nice change of pace QB as a backup, and is as great a teammate and locker room guy as you could find, which has kept him in the league making very nice money all these years.

No, we will never ever see a starting qb from the Vols in the NFL. I say never, but really I only looked out to 2100 though, gets iffy beyond that.

That's not the way of the Titans

Because you saw him in the green room all night. I think they made him sleep in there.
Hell no, I don't watch the draft. For whatever reason, I thought they took him with their first pick. Regardless, Hooker would have been a better choice. Especially if they had held into Tanehill one more year to give the rookie a year to backup and learn some things. Carthon's in over his head a little

He was never "contending" for anything more than a roster spot. And if Mayo weren't the HC he'd probably be on a practice squad somewhere

I’d like to see him be above average in the SEC before I anoint him king of the NFL.

He was in contention because they were riding into the season with Jacoby Brissett, Drake Maye, and Bailey Zappe.....none of them were the de facto starter and ALL of them were competing for a spot as the starter and a spot in the QB room.

Dobbs is Mr. Backup at this point. Nothing wrong with it: he’s still had a good career. Maybe the light bulb comes on for Joe when he’s like 28. Hendon has a good shot, imo.

That's a good assessment of Dobbs. He never seems comfortable in the pocket like a true pocket passer QB. DeShaun Watson is another decent scrambling QB who never developed into a true pocket passer. When the ball is snapped, his natural default is to tuck and run. Dobbs was fun to watch playing for the Vols and glad he played here.

Dobbs has been thrown to the wolves in a lot of these situations.
Gets traded to team x, shows up at the locker room and is the starter.
That's a tough gig.

He has actually been hired the previous two seasons not even being on a active roster. There weren't any trades when he suited up two years ago for the Titans nor last year when he played at Arizona and Minnesota
