William Inge Hired as LB Coach

So digging through a husky board it seems there were a wide array of opinions. A few posts about his wife posting crap on social media calling her a snowflake. A few that thought he was a good position coach. A few that thought they upgraded by bringing in the coach from Bama to replace him. Didn’t really see any saying he was a bad coach or anything to that effect. None of that really matters but when the fans biggest gripe is the wife’s social media post, it seems pretty good.

“Because, No. 1, I know the history and the tradition and the branding that this place has with that Power T and what it all represents,” Inge said. “The recruiting that you can be able to do here, but also I’m a fan of Coach Heupel as well, seeing the things that he’s done when you look at his background and his record. Then when we got to talking, I think I knew that I could have a big impact here in the group with respect to my position, helping our defensive staff, helping our overall staff, helping our football team. And that was something that was important to me.”

How are his recruiting skills?
Respectable…mostly West Coast centric at this point, due to his work experience. I felt Washington’s strength was at linebacker and I saw myriad higher LB recruits list Washington as a team of interest. That was in a relatively short stint following mid-major Fresno State.
