Windy's football discussion thread.

Came here to post that...lulz

"At one point during the broadcast, a couple of Aggies fans were shown holding a sign that said "UT is in Knoxville", an obvious reference to "the real UT" debate between Texas and Tennessee (though I'm not sure why it's a debate -- have we forgotten about the Mexican-American war??). "

This is what I wanted to hear. This right here all day long....

Nico Iamaleava drops quote after Tennessee's win against Chattanooga that confirms suspicion about Vols' starting QB

"After the game, Iamaleava was asked by a reporter if there was anything he can learn from a game that Tennessee led 38-0 at one point, or if there were any adverse situations that he had to push through in the season-opener.

Iamaleava's response sounded like it could have come straight from the lips of Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant."

Tennessee: 9-3 (1-0, beat Chattanooga 69-3)

The Nico Iamaleava hype train didn’t hit a bump in Week 1. Although frankly, an octogenarian could’ve played QB for the Vols against FCS Chattanooga. The 718-227 yardage gap joins all the ones above for bizarre and impressive. Week 2 against NC State should give a much clearer picture as to whether UT should be projected as high as 10-2 or at 8-4.

I ain't buying it.
It's not just us Tennessee fans seeing it, I reas a bunch of different views from major sites, to ex rival players, they're all believing the hype. Nico is special, doubters will see soon.

Whose the 3rd loss they're seeing?

Mizz?

We don’t play Mizzou

Georgia, B***, OU, and NC St are the biggest possible losses on the schedule. Arkansas should be a win, but going on the road in the SEC is always an adventure.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted it. For got we don't play Mizz and forgot about OK.

Lulz, that's what I get for posting my thoughts before thinking.
I think we beat bama at home, Georgia and Oklahoma on the road will be tough. Something I read recently, can't remember where, that gives me hope, Nico was asked something to the effect of what majes him play his best. He answered, on the road in hostile environments. He might have ice in his veins like Clausen, and be the next road warrior.

Would not have been that big had guantanamo been the qb. He would have been in the entire game struggling. So no, an octogenarian could not have played QB on Sat.
