Windy's football discussion thread.

I was only interested in what he said because I thought he'd be a prick. But what I quoted there was pretty much all he said about us. Pretty much all I read actually. Lol

“Kids played extremely hard. I’m really proud of them. I told them, ‘there’s no such thing as moral victories,’ and we understand that. We have to be real man, that’s one of the best football teams in the country right there. They are going to compete in the National Football Playoff."
scotty Waldo is an idiot who has no idea what money games are for.

He hurts both teams the way he approaches these games all so he can tell his grandkids he almost beat tennessee, or Clemson or UCLA or whoever the ****.

All he does is get his boys beat up, still lose, and make big programs avoid whatever school he cooaches

He didn't almost beat Tennessee. Yankee likes him. Lol.
he had the game tied last year pretty deep in the game. bled clock and ran trick plays constantly. Limits valuable reps against conventional offenses and limits reps on offense. Nobodys interested in giving someone a million dollars for that

his job isn’t to accept money games. It’s to win games. Imagine the horror of doing that

hes not going to win those games and its going to hurt his school in conference play getting banged up in those money games
That’s what people told Appalachian St against Michigan. They told Wyoming and Memphis that against us. Told Old Dominion that against VT (twice).

Calling it now. Bama will still be ranked ahead of us. After all anyone can beat Bama, but only the best teams lose to them.

Yeah, Im trying oh so hard to fight it, but if I'm going to continue enjoying football I'm gonna have to let some of the hate go. Id be happy if Florida never won another game. But I might not be as excited today if they'd lost yesterday. It helped our sos and our playoff hopes.

Im as excited about this Vanderbilt game and the prospect of a playoff game at Neyland as i think I've ever been. At least in the last quarter century.

They only dropped bama to 13 in the AP, watch the playoff be the same. They'll end up putting them in over a 2 loss team.

Yeah I didn’t have Vandy being the most important game of the year on my bingo card

I mean if it's a 2-loss Big 12 team, it's not justified????
Meh. If ohio loses to Oregon in theur championship, does that maje bama better? I think, and i hate the buckeyes, they're gonna be hard to beat. I absolutely think Indiana, and Penn state are overrated, but how do you justify putting a 3 loss bama over them, even if they dropped another? I get it, bama probably beats both, the teams that beat bama likely beats both. I just see the other side, how a 3 loss bama getting in over a 2 loss Penn State wouldn't be right. All just my thinking, who knows.

if the bulldogs lose in the seccg and bama sneaks in over them I'd understand if the state of georgia chose to invade the rest of the Continental US
This is the biggest scenario I've thought about, and puppies around me are worried about. I could absolutely see it, they've done it before. While I find it hilarious, because of conceded puppy fans, it'd be wrong.

ive got no love for either team but that'd be the second time UGA got the middle finger.

I'd perfectly understand their anger over it but good lord will it fuel Kirby's "NOBODY RESPEK US" rants

I don't really care, as long as we take care of bidness.

That said, it's not the CFP rankings, so if they do the same do you think Alabama dropped enough? They've lost to 2 unranked teams barley bowl eligible.
I mean, I don't care either.
We aren't going to know the three-loss teams until after the championship games.
And as you say the new rankings aren't out yet. We don't really know how much anybody's dropped yet.
BTW, Joe, all the examples you used are Big 10, which I think is better than the Big 12. I don't think Bama gets in over any 2-loss Big 10 teams, unless it might be Indiana, which would mean Indiana would have to lose again.
Edit: I saw we were 7 in the AP. I am now going off to see how much Bama dropped because I didn't care enough about them at the time to look hahahaha
