Windy's football discussion thread.

I mean, I don't care either.
We aren't going to know the three-loss teams until after the championship games.
And as you say the new rankings aren't out yet. We don't really know how much anybody's dropped yet.
BTW, Joe, all the examples you used are Big 10, which I think is better than the Big 12. I don't think Bama gets in over any 2-loss Big 10 teams, unless it might be Indiana, which would mean Indiana would have to lose again.
Edit: I saw we were 7 in the AP. I am now going off to see how much Bama dropped because I didn't care enough about them at the time to look hahahaha
I wasn't being a smart ass just meant as long as we get in I dgaf about who else does or don't.

Now, I did some research just now and found out that Georgia Tech is in fact not in the SEC.

haha I am the same way as long as we TCB and get in
Bama dropped 6 spots...probably about right
as long as they are there with The Sip wallowing in their misery after yesterday, I'm good hahahaha

That whole Georgia Tech thing was just mikey bein mikey

Then the Gwinutian decided we need a history lesson
Was more than that but whatever.

I got confused by not paying attention and was thinking if there was a 3 way tie one of the tie breakers is overall record, so GA losing to GT would be good. But when it hit me there was no 3 way tie it was too late. I said f it and went to bed.

Meh. If ohio loses to Oregon in theur championship, does that maje bama better? I think, and i hate the buckeyes, they're gonna be hard to beat. I absolutely think Indiana, and Penn state are overrated, but how do you justify putting a 3 loss bama over them, even if they dropped another? I get it, bama probably beats both, the teams that beat bama likely beats both. I just see the other side, how a 3 loss bama getting in over a 2 loss Penn State wouldn't be right. All just my thinking, who knows.
They aren’t putting Bama in over those teams. They’re ranked so high because the ACC and Big XII are awful.

not sayin I like it or that I necessarily agree, but I think there's a decent chance SoCar gets in with three losses if they beat Climpsuck convincingly on Saturday
tosu potentially losing the big ten championship won’t affect them much. Georgia losing the SECCG (assuming they beat GT) won’t affect them much. I think SMU stays in if they lose to Miami in the ACCCG at this point over USCe getting in. Biggest chance for Bama or USCe getting in at this point would be a ND loss next week.

Or we could have a repeat of this week…Maryland beats PSU, Syracuse beats Miami, Meechigan beats tOSU and USCe beats Clempson along with the Trojans beating ND. Then anyone can get in

I think they will need more help than that. Will definitely depend on how far they drop Ole Miss and Bama, both of which beat SC. It's definitely fun to see all of this chaos.

I agree with you. There is an argument for both sides, which makes this fun.
