Windy's football discussion thread.

This season has been unlike anything weve seen in terms of surprises and upsets. No idea what the CFP committee will do but have no reason to believe it will be like previous years.
Really there shouldn't be a comparison since there are new rules to handling. It's after this year where we can get an understanding.

The boo birds would be out quick if they struggle

They slipped up and gave us the resson why state is ranked above us

MI AD says MI was a quality loss for tosu. What should have happened is both schools should have had most of their teams suspended for the first half of the next game.
how the AD of a major program mired in massive impropriety ended up being the head of the most important body of decision makers in the history of college football is so dystopic its hilarious

Remember IU jumped 3 teams that won after barely beating Michigan at home....

And if Michigan was such a great win, why was Texas behind Ohio State all year after killing Michigan in Ann Arbor?

I’m using ESPN ranking on Strength of Schedule:

Oregon - 60
Texas - 32
PSU - 36
ND - 57
UGA - 3
OSU - 26
UT - 28
SMU - 75
Indiana - 65
Boise St - 86
Alabama - 17
ASU - 72

Schedule doesn’t matter. Unless you are on the bubble with 2 other SEC schools.

The interview I heard said the trans not playing this weekend won't move because there is no additional data. I understood it to be they can move but not on their merits from the season. I wouldn't be surprised if we move back one.

I mean "not penalizing a team" for a conference championship loss does not mean keeping the rankings/seedings the same for the top 12.
It means those teams won't drop completely out of the CFP.
It's not difficult, and many people in the FF are making it so.
I think we will move again, also.

The larger issue is why are people hell bent to know before we're supposed to know?

I think Penn State would have to get absolutely destroyed to drop below us. An UGA loss is 50/50 for them to go below us. No chance in Hades a Texas or Oregon loss drops them below us. I don’t think anyone can jump us other than the two conference champ byes that already are
