In the 1983 Sugar Bowl, PSU defeated UGA, 27 - 23. Georgia had the more talented team - bigger, stronger, faster athletes. During the championship game, Georgia receivers dropped five passes, any one of which would have changed the outcome of the game. PSU won by executing. Georgia thwarted them frequently, however, PSU made few mistakes. At the end, they had the winning score.

After his monologue at SEC media days I am taking the under as he will be ready for football to begin.

Not too long ago, Mizzou was in another conference. They won enough football to keep the locals entertained. Nobody else paid them much mind until some sports hack admitted to their association with the university. Then, there would be a five minute conversation which inevitably turned to the Colorado game. Done.

Fate would have it that Mizzou would join the SEC, and despite being one of the westernmost campuses by longitude, they'd be wedged into a weakened eastern division. Having a good team by their historic standards, they'd win like they never had before. Thus, the juju was laid.

It's time, time for the Vols to begin a streak of ownership. It's time that people speak about Mizzou as they used to do - a team that wins enough to keep the locals buying tickets, oh, and that Colorado game...

If we win the BYU game I'll be a bit more optimistic, if not I'm afraid it's gonna be another long year. My bvs is hard to overcome, but you make a good point MBRO.

That has happened over the last decade, but that's not really it or me. I like to study our position groups during the offseason and check out the different preseason magazines. However with everything that's happened this year, football just seemed unimportant.

The excitement is starting to come back. I'm even starting to post in the FF a little now. But I'm woefully uninformed to make any predictions.
