The game is on the sportscenter sidebar to be talked about soon. Interested to see that whole debacle again.

I think the majority of the blame falls on Stave. I watched the replay again and I don't think he ever actually goes down, so ASU's got a legitimate claim to falling on the ball. Instead of getting his team to the line he argues with an official for approx. 8-9 seconds, looks up at the clock with 2 seconds left, thinks "oh s---", and tries to run the play. Officials still screwed the pooch but Stave did himself no favors.

EDIT: After watching it again/looking at still images...Stave is down with 17 seconds left.

He just dropped it, shoulda been a fumble and it was just weird

Gary Andersen just said he didn't receive an explanation on final play from officials. WTH?

Not sure why the officials ran off like that but Wisconsin should not have tried to be cute like that with no time outs left. They should have lined up and kicked a field goal when they got the last first down.

This gets more confusing every time I re-watch it. There is literally no explanation for not at least taking a second look at it.

Wasn't what he did a fumble? The refs should have blown the whistle but even I can see why the ASU guy laid on it, he thought it was a fumble. The refs should have blown it dead, reviewed it, ASU wins.

That Wisconsin QB is stupid, but so are the coaches for even trying all that with no timeouts.

Why are the coaches stupid for trying to center the ball for a field goal? His knee hit with 17 seconds left. That should be plenty of time for an official to spot the ball so the offense can clock it.

Because stuff can go wrong, obviously.

Was moving the football a few feet over worth that risk?

Ohio State is going to cruise in the Big 12. Michigan is Their only tough regular season game and They will belt Wisconsin in the Big 10 Championship game.

Ohio State's defense isn't good enough to get them through undefeated. You're also underestimating Northwestern...they've looked really good so far. Michigan + NW are the two best teams in the Legends and Ohio plays them both on the road. Wisconsin has the running game to make Ohio sweat but I can't see them falling at home.

He made the motion the knee didn't touch.. Look again.

I don't have to look at anything again. ESPN showed it a million times this morning and it is clearly on the ground. You seem to be the only one who can't see it. Just google it, there are about a hundred different photos that show his knee on the ground.
