The QB tried to call a TO after he set the ball down. I think he was lost as what the rule was.

Uh when did he try to call timeout? He went up to the referee to say he was going to spike it, but couldn't because the az state player was laying on the ball.

30. If you can't tell that his knee is on the ground I can't help you. Anyways it actually doesn't matter, because the rule is if the intent of the quarterback is to down the ball, which it clearly was, no fumble can occur. And why did the officials signal second down? Why did they blow the whistle after he went down? Why didn't Arizona state immediately jump on the ball? Look at the replay, the dline started lining up for the next play before one of their guys jumped on the ball. Hell even the guys on the pac12 network said it was a disgrace.

How bout that an intelligent response instead of calling someone an idiot, that would of been cool the post before this one...debate and opinion of others is fine without the name calling just because someone disagrees with you..

The Pac officials messed up. But Stave would have been really smart to toss the ball to the umpire rather than setting it down.

I just posted the video just to show peeps what happened, after some better research I realize that he did touch, but some folks need to grow up some, just to call peeps names cause someone disagrees with ya is pretty immature.
