Jim Tressel is under a NCAA show cause restraint and will not be hired by anyone for another 2-3 years. That may happen if Chaney is retained for that period of time and if Hart is stupid enough to hire Tressel. Don't think that will happen.

Also, heard that talks with Gruden were broken off....not because of money, but, because Jon Gruden wanted complete control over the program....much like Nick Saban has at Alabama. So, I am speculating the next coach will probably be announced within the next couple of weeks. But, that is strictly my opinion! I believe any of the three coaches mentioned would qualify as a homerun get. However, the University seems to freak out at the idea of the HC having complete control over the football program.

It seem to come down to something about Academics is what I hear. Why wouldn't the Coach of the team have some input into the Academics of his players seems only right. Anyway I hear we got like 56 million for a coach to be hired from Haslem so that seems like enough money to get a great coach.

i don't think they will hire Petrino either,a fine coach for sure,but there is a lot of baggage with him too

I don’t believe Tressel’s show-cause expires until 2016. But, that doesn’t mean he can’t be hired in the interim. Any school wishing to hire him would just have to appear before the ncaa infractions committee and state its case as to why it should be allowed to hire him before the effective ban expires. If the ncaa approves the appeal and he’s hired, the school would then have to issue a report to the committee every two months on how it is monitoring the coach. So, while it’s unlikely he would be hired under those conditions, it’s not going to prevent any program in desperate need of a savior from offering.

not sure why so many people want jimbo must not of seen the stat of him losing 8 times at FSU as a double digit favorites

not to mention all the talent on the FSU offense this yr and he's the OC

fsu is a pretty damn good gig tho i dont see him leaving plus he's piled up all this talent why leave?

Arky will go after strong or Patterson. Rumor is here in Kentucky that they want some coordinator from Fla state. Auburn and petrino are made for each other.
