with good coaching this is a top 5 team

This is probably a bearable time to have a mediocre coach, since UConn is in a 'scorched earth faze' and dominating the game so thoroughly.

But once Geno retires with his 15 or 16 national titles, we really ought to hire a legitimate head coach and try to line up with the other usual suspects hoping to fill the void.

So are we writing off the next 6-7 years. What if Muffet doesn't retire at the same time? Do we wait until she retires as well.

Holly does not appear to have what it takes to be what is needed as a head coach....She is a fine woman, but her coaching skills seem deficient...Has anyone seen any kind of offensive structure ran with precise ball movement, even once? Is defense so hard? Shade the ball handler defensive to their preferred side and make them use their other hand, very basic steps., we don't do that...That is why they drive by us like unwanted hitchhikers on a street, pitiful.

Yes, tack on an extra 7-8 years for Muffet. Good call.

That's roughly 15 or so years, the same amount of time bama wandered through the wilderness between Stallings and Saban. That's not really that long, unless you look at it in dog years.

Own it or defend it, but don't accuse me of making it up.

1. "I wish Holly would have kicked her off the team" is not the same as saying, "She should be kicked off the team."

2. "Her toxic attitude affects the rest of the team" is calling her court attitude toxic, not her as a person.

3. "...and acting like an idiot in one of the KY games" is criticizing the way she was behaving, not her as a person.

Conclusion: You made **** up. Next.

The hallmark of Pat's program imo was offensive rebounding. Talented scorers and tenacious D notwithstanding, pounding the offensive glass set us apart and was something we could bank on every night out. Getting HS all-americans to crash the boards and win 50/50 balls as if their life depended on it was a craft Pat honed to perfection.

It's painfully obvious that Holly lacks the will or fortitude (or confidence) to maintain that hallmark of the program. Playing soft on the offensive boards is the new normal and so is life outside the top ten (or fifteen).

Definitely true we always had big post players that would go and get the ball. We got as many second chance points as first chance. Now it is one shot and play defense. The best teams are always tough on the offensive boards. You must have the players that can get those rebounds I don't think we have them this year.

They didn't have the personnel on the court to play that style of play...not with Lang and Nneka v2.0 out there. Texas had a huge advantage in the frontcourt department.

Nope, I just quoted you. Others can judge your comments and weak parsing of semantics for themselves.

The only thing I would add is just because you don't like the way she acts on the court doesn't mean she is a selfish player--a harsh allegation however you want to justify it. Again, she isn't playing well but she has done nothing to embarrass the program.

Hope you're not a lawyer, because I'd hate to see you try to go to court with that logic. On second thought, I'd be happy to kick back with some popcorn and watch the circus.
