Fant with a Blue Shirt and Shaq Wiggins with the grad transfer. Thought because of those two we are limited to 23 this class. 247 should be the experts though...but Hubbs and crew said 23 I think. (That is why I think 23).

before or after KMAC announcement?

I'm currently showing 60 scholarship players, meaning we have room to take a full 25. 14 of those are already filled. I'm not even going to attempt to iron out all the blue shirt nonsense about who from last year's class may count toward 2018. A few notes

Chance Hall is still included in my roster as I haven't seen anything official saying he's no longer there

Jauan Jennings is not included for the same reason

Todd Kelly is included as I saw where he was cleared for another year.

There is still speculation about the status of Boulware. I don't include him.

I think Georgia has 31 Seniors plus any early draft entries (Trent Thompson would be a possibility for one).

So with a hard 25 limit, they could have up to 10 schollys open for only walk-ons this year.

I hope more leave either through transfer or early graduation The fastest we flip the roster the better

The roster isn't the problem. The previous coaching staff never had them prepared to play up to SEC level. There will be a noticeable difference when those same players take the field in 2018.With the incoming class, talent will not be a problem next year.

If Hubbs and crew are saying 23, that means someone from Pruitt's crew is likely telling them 23. With 14 signed, we have room for 9 more.

From a position view, I'd bet we finish with:
1 more RB (Grant or Washington?)
2 more LB's (Peterson & Walker?)
3 more DB's (Griffin, E.Smith, Hall?)
1 more WR (Copeland or Porter?)
1 more OL (Valentin?)
& 1 more DL (Langham?)

Actually I believe it is an old rule that is just being enforced more to the original intent. I personally feel the NCAA gave Butch some leeway to get us competitive, but now that some of the ways he ran players off is coming to light, they decided to tighten the loopholes.

Now, I don't know when or if Butch will get another HC job, but I can almost guarantee he won't get any exceptions then. Just as our program is not being allowed any now.
the lengths to which some people go to blame the last coach out the door... tin hat much?

FWIW, AL.com had a good article from HS coaches re: Early Signing this year and going forward. Look 2-3 days back.

Also, this discussion explains why we are now hiring a large staff of non coaches.
