Let me guess. You're not good in math.

You think Hart's going to fire Holly, too, right?

Yep never good at math .....received my BS and MS in Civil Engineering from yep you guessed it ....the University of Tennessee .

No I do not believe that Hart will fire Holly with all the Title IX stuff stagnating the atmosphere. If that law suit was not hanging around ,he very likely would fire her.

By the way ,there may be some changes made in the Administration ,Athletic Department and the Lady Vols coaching staff before the football season starts this year.

Can you elaborate?

One last thought on this seeding business. The Lady Vols really were fortunate to get the seeding they did and in the bracket for that seeding because they have the easiest path to the Elite 8 of any 7 seed .We should be praising Caesar not criticizing them ( NCAA Selection Committee ).

Yes, there will be changes. Several people already know they are moving on. But Hart thinks Holly is doing a great job and considers this season an aberration. Many disagree with that assessment. And not all of them are drinking Kool-Aid.

...The LVs would have been a 7 or 8 seed if they had lost every game in the SECT. They beat aTm to advance to the semis and stayed a 7 seed-- even though UK and MSU moved up in seeding and both are hosting. Based on the LVs SOS and RPI, the LVs could have been bumped to a 6 seed or scheduled closer to home as a 7 seed. A bad draw and no fan support is going to make it tougher for this team to win. If fans don't care, maybe the team doesn't, either.

If the LV's ended the season 17-13 instead of 19-13, they may not have been in the tournament. No way to know for sure but Duke at 22-11 lost in the 2nd round of the ACC tournament and was uninvited.

Re the travel, the committee has a long history of sending SEC teams that don't win the conference tournament out west.

The committee has a difficult job with conferences that send more than 4 teams to the tournament. The SEC sent 9. The committee has to disperse those teams across the 4 regions to try and keep those teams from meeting in the first two rounds. This means a lot of travel.

Every team has to travel. Ask Dawn Staley how she likes being the overall #2 and traveling to South Dakota.

I agree but I really hate I didn't get to see Jones try and guard Stewart.....I've always thought the only person in the country that could possibly give her problems would have been Jasmine.

I always thought the same thing. They both are freaks of nature it would've been epic

Nia Moore hyped up on battery acid and Jolt cola would give Stewart a go... for about a minute and a half.

Yep !! Actually there is no one in the country that can effectively guard her and that includes Jones when she was 100% healthy.

The selection committee has now went 9 tournaments without pairing TN and Uconn. It's clear the committee couldn't care less about that matchup. Only some fans do and maybe ESPN who clearly has no sway with the selection committee. Good for the committee I say.

Vols were a #1 seed two years ago, and also in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011, so for 5 of the 9 years the two teams couldn't be in the same region. In 2010 and 2011, the Vols and Huskies would have had potential semifinal matches.

Who decided they were a #1 seed? The committee.

The LVs were a 5 seed in 2009. It was the team's lowest seed ever... until this year. The LVs lost the opening game in 2009 to 12 seed Ball State. First time the LVs ever lost their opener.

Then they should withdraw. It's not worth the money to travel cross-country to be one and done. If they're going to put them at 7 seed, then they should have put them closer to home, since geographic proximity was a key factor this year.

why would you expect a one and done ?

I think the LVs should make it to the Elite Eight, based on talent alone. But even the easiest game can be a challenge for this team. Every year, a mid-major pulls an upset and advances because they want it more. The LVs are wildly inconsistent, they're not well coached and they're playing 1900 miles from home, in front of a crowd that will have little orange. The home crowd will root for GB, because they'd rather ASU play GB than UT. The LVs play better with fan support. And they won't have much.

This team has played awful on the road. Playing far away from home with a lack of fan support against a scrappy underdog will be tough for a LVs team that hasn't shown a lot of toughness this year. How far this team will advance is probably a direct correlation to how well Diamond DeShields and Bashaara Graves play, how badly they want it and how hard and how long they're willing to fight.
