It doesn't look like anyone has started a Women's World Cup thread.

Sweden beat Colombia 1-0.
Anyone know how the US is doing?

Helluva save for Norway right then. That was a dagger.

Norway is glad thats over. Tough break for the Africans. While I dont like flopping late, the effort in the first was commendable.

It's harder to follow this but I'm still enjoying it. Equatorial Guinea is a fun team to watch. Can't wait until I find GIFs of that crazy Guinea fan.

Just want to add the hotness factor for both teams is lacking.

Not at all for Japan, or at least the cuteness factor. IIRC, New Zealand is up there too. Sweden has one player that's straight-up hot, though. Can't remember her name.

Obligatory "There's a reason nobody had started a Women's World Cup thread" post.

The World Cup is easily the greatest sporting event in the world in my opinion. That being said, I'm having a hard time watching the women.

Right now watching Japan beat down Mexico 3-0 at the half. Is it just me or do women seem less likely to flop than the dudes do?

Japan advances past group play for the first time. They defeat Mexico 4-0.

I watched a little bit of it this morning before heading out. Japan looked pretty good, but Mexico just looked all kinds of out of sync.

Japan's Homare Sawa recorded a hat trick in today's game against Mexico.
