Tech pitcher absolutely shoved last night. You could see his confidence grow inning after inning. It will be a game he’ll remember for the rest of his life. Kudos to him!

Jordan’s comments about the wood bats after the Vandy game are coming back to roost. Opposing fans and conspiracy theorists are having a field day. Baseball is humbling. Hope our guys come out on fire this weekend.

Wood bats are good way to beat complacency. Make them work harder for the hits mid week, then back to the heavy metal thunder for the weekend.

I’m not saying wood bats once post season play starts, just during the regular season.

I get it. Challenge them to the next level. Similar to a steady mantra in the TV/CFA locker room. Also makes them confront how slim the margin of victory can be.

I have no idea if wood bats really matter when it comes to the hitter’s mental approach, but timing is everything, with the run these guys are on right now planned adversity to delay their peak until the post season should be explored.

They are definitely playing solid ball. I’d like to see how low they can go on loss side, but it’s all about Omaha. That’s the real prize.
