UNC could have never played into a 1 seed..but they could have played in Gboro as a two seed..thats what I'm talking about..besides Dook not wanting them in the same pod.

I like how we always seemed to be ranked lower than UF eventhough we beat them 2x. Now we are seeded better.

If UT is a 2 seed, then UNC could have played into a 1 if they ran the ACC Tourney...Duke has every right to demand a home court advantage as the number 1 team in the nation!

The great thing about the Vols getting the #2 seed is that it clears the path for the Tarheels to get to the Elite 8 without having to play a real #2 seed.

NCGatorbait is correct. There was no way for UNC to get a #1 seed. They may have been able to play into a #2 seed had they won the ACC tournament. However, with UT ranked #15 in the nation and exiting the SEC tournament in their first game, how could UT possibly be denied a #2 seed?

UT had the higher RPI..even if UNC won the ACC they wouldn't get a #1..too many losses.

No, not everyone hates Duke...only people in the south, and for the same reason NASCAR fans hate Jeff Gordon. Duke players annunciate, use proper grammar, and keep themselves clean cut and out of trouble. That and most people can't wrap their minds around the fact that some D1 athletes are capable of scoring 1200 or better on their SATs.

Bilas on ESPN Bracketology just said that UT better come ready to play because Winthrop has some great players and they are more than capable of beating UT.

I beat him to the punch and went on record first, though. Winthrop over UT in Round 1.
