I can see the vols running to the final four. I have them going through winthrop, whitcha state, nc, and illinois.

I got online after the race and checked some brackets, and started looking at the 3, 4 and 5 seeds automatically... I thought we'd missed it. :eek:

I'll be happy with making it outta the first weekend. Anything else is gravy. Hell, THIS is gravy.

you said it man. but think about this, EVERYONE wants us to lose now. If we had a 4 or 5 seed people would root for us, now we are going to have the bullseye on us like st. joes did with jameer nelson.

Totally agree. UT will be totuted by the talking heads as overrated and if you lose, they will all say, "told ya'"!

yep and that being said, I say bring it. I have reviewed this bracket so many times now. the vols have a good shot to get into the tourney deep. but lawgator, be aware of the first round game for your gators. south alabama can play basketball, but i dont really think you guys are introuble. you guys got a wierd draw. uwm or oklahoma in the second round would be tough.

Yep. Oklahoma in particular I think has some size.

As to you guys, I really don't see any reason that you don't get to the Sweet 16.

You can take out 'rebound,' have we did that at all this year?

We need to shoot well, obviously, to win. Force turnovers and shoot well.

I just dont know if we really are taking this in right. Is this the highest seed ever by a mens basketball team at the university of tennessee? this is one magical season and even though everyone thinks the magic has ran out, I think this seeding proves it hasnt. this team is in like to do some really magical things and bring some hype to UT basketball that is yet to be reached. If we can get to the sweet 16 or eilite 8, can you imagine the pub we will get. and if we somehow get to the final four, we will be a power house for years to come with the publicity, fan exposure, and the players that will just want to come play for ut to learn under pearl.

today is a great day to be a vol! and dont anyone forget it.

last time we had a seed nearly this high we lost to VMI
can't let any crap like that happen
and i think pearl is the dang man... and i think the 2 seed will give our boys their swagger back

i think we better get ready, I dont think we will be able to take in what type of run this team is capable of. I mean I thought we could get in the tourney at the begining of the year but nothing more. Now its looking like we may be able to easily get to the sweet 16, if you can call it easy. I will say this, I think we got the easiest path to the sweet 16.

I totally agree tid....since rebounding aint us....we need to utilize our quickness and team defense to force turnovers before they shoot. This may be the hidden key to the final 4 most don't think about.

but on the flip side, they dont want to think about what lofton and watson could do to them on the outside. And the fact they havent seen any full court pressures all year, we could run them out of the court. NC is so inconsitent, but like lawgator said, we could lose that game by 20 or win it by 20.
