Workers are applying for jobs left and right, but hearing nothing back

The feminists made being a wife and mother out to be equal to slavery and the schools began to push kids away from the trades.
Not everyone is meant for a white collar job just like not everyone has the skills to do certain blue collar jobs. Neither is better or worse than the other, they’re just different paths with the same goal. I’d be very proud if one of my boys became an electrician, welder, or whatever. As long as it provides a living and they are happy then all is good!

Auto mechanic...

The absurd rates they charge means they have to be making decent money.

Don't ask me how I know...

Whichever.

$2,200 to replace an air conditioner in a car is absurd.
I would venture that aftermarket margins float most businesses at 40-50% markups
I was an ASR at a Fortune 150 corporation many years ago and at the end of the year the wheelbarrows of cash were dispersed to the production and sales divisions. Basically give machines away at 10% margins just to get the aftermarket and service

I know people looking for restaurant work. Most owners I know are short staffed, but they still aren't pushing to hire. I hear people complaining that they respond to an ad for a line cook that lists starting pay at 16/hr and they interview (plenty of experience) and then the owner offers them a job at 12/hr and promises a raise "if everything works out."

I am also suing an owner of a bar who is constantly complaining on social media about not being able to find help, but he charges his bartenders a "cleaning fee" of $20 per shift (there is no cleaning company), he charges the bartenders 5% of their charge tips to cover credit card service fees (a cost most bars simply eat and he's overcharging at that), he pays his bartenders for 8 hour shifts when the shifts average from 10-12 hours and now I have proof that he is stealing 100-120 per shift from the charge tips earned by the bartenders. And he is garnering sympathy on Facebook when complaining about the lazy people that don't want to work.

This owner has people that will put up with it for awhile because the bartenders are making solid money. $600 per shift give or take.
Once you win the judgement for your clients, the owner who is acting illegally, what prevents him from closing, declaring bankruptcy, and starting another place under a different corporate name?

You just described a whole bunch of illegal acts. I hope you're successful.

You mean diagnostic technician don't you? There are very few mechanics out there that can diagnose and fix a problem without a computer telling them what the problem is.
I've got one who can do it the old fashioned way. The most reasonable rates I've ever experienced

I have a lawyer question that has zero relevance to the discussion at hand, but deals with your post.

He could, but he is rocking and rolling and he owns the land. I do a bit of research before I go after people. Also, this is a non-dischargeable debt in bk and I will be going after him personally.

Fire away, GV. Good to see you around again. If you'd rather you can send it to my email... hmurphy@JLGTampaBay.com

Nothing personal honestly...

Just curious if say ClearwaterDaughter was involved in that whether you could represent her. I wasn't sure if that would be considered a conflict of interest or not.

For my own knowledge honestly.
