World Series: Texas Rangers vs. St. Louis Cardinals

Great outcome for baseball in general. This series deserves a game 7.

Big game for baseball. Now you get a Friday night game 7, where people will stay up to watch, and a great game 6. This could help.

Where he proceeded to not help them win one. At least Pujols won a WS for the Cardinals. Might win a 2nd.

Astros pretty much had the worst offense in baseball that season when they went to the World Series and couldn't score in the World Series. It's not like Berkman did anything. He ate doughnuts and struck out while the pitchers kept them in the game

Berkman hit .333 with 2 homers and 14 rbis in that postseason.

Berkman hit .385 with 6 RBIs in the World Series.
Your boy Bagwell hit .125 with 0 RBIs in that world series.

Yeah.

The worst decision tonight was not bringing in Gonzalez to face Berkman:

Against Righties: .307/.423/.586
Against Lefties:.261/.363/.415

I didn't know .293/.411/.524 sucked.

Dude, he sucked when they needed him. And again, he was always out of shape and injured. They traded him for next to nothing because he turned into a broken down slob. It wasn't until now that he actually cared about not being a lard ass. He's finally in shape for once.

Not sure why you're trying to argue. I don't like the guy, why do you care? Basically no Astro fan likes him anymore.

He did nothing for the franchise, sold out his hometown and went to a rival team when the team(home state) he is facing offered. It's not like he carried the team without Bagwell and Biggio. They led some pretty average players at times to good records but Berkman just sat back and did nothing when it was his turn to lead.

Anyways... see you all tomorrow night.

Pinch hitting German is always a bad decision. Also, not keeping 1 of your 2 outfielders on the bench when you have Hamilton with a bad groin and Cruz who pulls his hamstring every other week. It didn't affect the game, but just puzzled me.

Yeah.

This. Is. Funny.

I'm still completely puzzled as to why Gonzalez didn't face Berkman. He's got 40 points off his BA against lefties this year.

Berkman this year:

Against Righties: .307/.427/.571

Against lefties: .277/.348/.455
