World Series: Texas Rangers vs. St. Louis Cardinals

So a couple thoughts after series:

This should prove home field should never be decided in an all star game.

Cards may go down as worst ws champs ever.

Game 6 was entertaining, but was so poorly played/managed hard to call it an all time great game.

Overall it was fun to watch till game 7 when ump decided who he wanted to win

what do you call the worst world series champs ever? World series champs.

Choke job by the Rangers in game 6... Ump was the Cards MVP for game 7...

Despite all that, the Cards weren't the best team this season by a long shot, but they were the team of destiny, so that's that.

They earned it, enough said.

Whatever. They had to go out there and play, doesn't change the fact that Texas had a historic choke in game 6 and the pitches were called horrendously in carps favor in game 7.

Strike zone was inconsistent for both teams. No need in *****ing about it saying it was in one team's favor.

Whatever. Ill wake up in the morning at peace once again with the fact that the baseball teams I like will never win the ws.

100% true. Looking at the PitchFX graphs, both teams had almost the same exact number of missed calls. Was a terrible strike zone, though.

Unfortunately for the Rangers, Feldman got the screwjob in the 5th and it just so happened to allow the Cards to pad the lead.

But can it really be just be a choke job when you just have bad players? The Rangers had Neftali Feliz and the reanimated corpse of Darren Oliver and ten stiffs in their bullpen this year. The real choke job was going into the playoffs with that bullpen to begin with.

No question that Feliz gagged. But he's 23; that's what they do. Ask Craig Kimbrel. But I don't know how anyone can say that Oliver and Feldman and Lowe "choked" when they just suck to begin with.

Ron Washington was an idiot for not starting CJ. He's your team's ace for a reason.

But when you have Adams and Uehara there is no need to use those guys. I'm not sure what Wash was doing with those guys.

Congrats to the Cards though!

the choke was Cruz that didn't catch a fly ball to right field in Game 6, that would have won the World Series

Bill DeWitt is best owner in MLB. This is the Cards' third trip to the series and second championship since DeWitt bought the team for a bargain price in 1995 and they've done it with a payroll that's rarely been in the top 10. They're still in the hunt for Pujols and might pull it out but even if they do, they won't be the highest bidder. DeWitt will be able to attract a good replacement for LaRussa.
