I promise if I was rich I would be complaining, it's my money and I know how to sepnd it better than the government does. Unless you work for local, state or federal goverment, you're working for somebody who is rich.

Any thoughts on what amount is fair? How high would you go?

They want cry, they'll will take their money and invest it where they can make money. Which want be in this country. And thus jobs start dissapearing, our economy starts going backwards, it want matter what your tax level is. Whats the tax bracket of zero dollar income? That top half you despise so much also funds this country with money, R and D, jobs, grants for everything to penis enlargement to cancer.

Reading this thread I find it particularly funny that the right wing posters are using tax data from the middle of GWB's reign to support a theory that Obama's tax plan is bad for America.

They need to look at the regressive taxes first like sales tax on food , wheel taxes etc. Those tend to nick the low earners for a disproportionate share of disposable income

The point is, if it's that bad now it will only get worse with Obama... is that so hard to understand?

If you're ok with it, why does that necessarily mean others are ok with it. If there were no income taxes, you would voluntarily give this money to the government?

Well, great because as bad as our economy is its still going forward, and if our supposed leaders didn't bow at the alter of special interest it would be hell of lot better.
