Worley after Four Games

The following is a statement of fact:

Justin Worley has developed into the best QB we've had since Casey Clausen.

Bold prediction:

If he continues to progress at this rate, he'll be on my fantasy team in the next five years.

He has 93 Completions on 155 Attempts for 985 Yards
9 Tds 3 Picks and a 118.83 Efficiency

He has done this while being sacked 11 times and also while being pressured constantly.

Hats off to this young man. His poise and toughness is something to admired. I have no doubt at all he will get us to a bowl this year.

I give you like #50 :salute: Go Vols!!

At least 3 times on Worley and at least once on Peterman I saw hits that genuinely made me cringe. Absolutely brutal.

The one on Peterman I was expecting CBJ to have to start warming up #3.

Worley has taken beatings this year and kept on coming.

To this point in the season Worley is a Top 3 QB in the SEC.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the job Worley is doing. Heart, leadership, toughness are his hallmarks. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, here. I looked at the espn stats for sec qbs. Worley isn't in the top 5 for yards or QB rating.
You could make an argument that those ahead of him would also suffer statistically if they were playing for the Vols this season. And, I would be inclined to agree. Worley is the best when intangibles are measured; no doubt in my mind.

He should keep it on the zone read.

I agree that he should but thsts clearly not gonna happen. I'm starting to agree with Doug Mathews that no matter what the coaches say, no matter how this offense appears to be designed.....the qb keeping the ball is just not a part of this offense.

Who in the conference is better than Worley ATM? Miss States QB and maybe Bamas? Not sold on Bo Wallace or any of the other east QBs.

Have you not read the board the last year and a half? According to 95% of the idiots on VN everyone, anyone, you name it, is better than Worley.

Btw, I think he's in the top 3-4 of the league.

Would say Hill at A'm, Prescott and Sims are the only 3 better than Worley. Wallace and Mauk are inconsistent as h*ll.

Our QBs are getting absolutely tee'd off on. To their credit, from what media I have seen and from looking over Twitter, no fingers being pointed. We gotta do something though. I actually fear for Worley's well being.

Kenny Hill from A&M, maybe.

Nope

Worley is the best until I see these other QB's perform under the pressure that Worley has seen.

The way he has composed himself both on and off the field. He is a great leader and he is leading by example.

Most if not all other QB's would have folded at some point IMO.

Freak: do you plan on doing the offense and defense videos for the Georgia game? I would *love* to watch those!

So Proud of Worley!! And the entire team really! You could see the switch turned on last year toward the end. Sometimes the end score just doesn't represent what is really going on. I think that Worley and Co. will show out the rest of the year. They believe... and I believe.:)

He's a smart risk taker. Likes to throw the ball into narrow windows but does so with good timing. He doesn't show much if any initiative to run the ball which kind of hurts him as he turns into a statue when the pocket collapses. He's gotta work on his pocket awareness or else he's going to get hurt out there with the way our OLine is playing. If he keeps playing smart we are going bowling.

Which was kind of odd since the first two games he moved around in the backfield a lot more than I saw him do last year. But the OU and UGA games he didn't roll out as much.

He can make plays when he moves around a bit like that toss to Johnson yesterday. Wish he would do it more.

Cromptons 1st four games of his senior year his totals were 62 for 107 , 641 yards with 7 tds and 8 ints and some people here still call Kiffin a genius because of that. whats that make Bajakian?

The fact is you must not remember Erik Ainge.

Yeah. I don't get the Ainge disrespect. Maybe bc people didn't like him on radio, or don't like that he's not exactly a perfect angel... some skellies in his closet. But heck, we all have those. Hypocrites IYAM.

While he had a disappointing sophomore year he was good as a freshmen and very good/excellent his last two years. Overall a highly productive Vol QB. And think of him what you will but the guy loves the Big Orange.

Remember how fans treated Casey up until we started going down hill?

I couldn't be happier for the kid. I think Dooley throwing him into the fire killed his confidence but deep down he's always been a great player. Glad it's finally showing.

He's the best QB in the sec east.
