Yes, He put up Video game like numbers in high school, but couldn't get better than a 3* rating. In college he has played like a walk on qb. Everyone trying to hang their hat on the SC abs UGA game.

The SC game was luck.

And EVERYONE knows The Ga game would have been different if they had Gurly and Marshal in all game.

Worley may be a SR. And have better command if the offense, but if he can't get the ball to all the talent at WR it won't matter. I'm going to have faith he will be ready this season, but it's hard to be comfortable with that.

I hope he can get up on Utah state early allowing us to see Peterman in action. The Florida game was just horrible luck. I believe 2 fumbles was not even his fault and he had a broken thumb. But he wanted to play and win so bad that he tried to play through it. That would take heart that a lot of you couldn't comprehend.

Yeah the coaches see more than we do and you trust cbj decision, blah, blah, blah. Coaches are normal people too. They make bad decisions all the time. Does Worley give us a better chance to win, or is it just a safe decision for cbj?

Not knocking Butch, but why would you not play JJ Watt at DE instead of TE?

Manning was what, a 3rd string qb before he desperately got thrown into a game?

Everyone has raved about Petermans camp.
Dobbs looked great in the spring game throwing and running. And Worley sounds like he has not progressed going into his 4th season

Am I the only one uncomfortable with Worley heading into the season

Gatorade award is for a player that did well athletically in HS and did great community type service. Not about best in country at their position. SOS and even Dabo passed on him instate. Think on that.

I work in SC where Worley played HS football. Northwestern is a very scheme oriented offense. A more simple scheme for a QB to get big numbers in. They have lots of short out routes/and curls, and rely on receiver speed and quickness to get the YAC. You may already know this but this is also where CP played ball, same time as Worley.

For all those who think Worley was the wrong choice, remember the other 2 guys who wanted the position have had 18 months to show they are better than Worley and they haven't been able to do it. I think I'll just trust Butch on this one.

It is hard to fathom what CP must have been like from an opposing players perspective in HS.

OK so I hope Worley does well he deserves it been through a lot here. But I keep seeing people throw out all these high school stats and awards but did you ever stop and think if hes so great why didnt Clemson or SC try to keep him in state? Maybe they saw enough to know

It's also about circumstances in some cases. Clemson and SC didn't offer, but LSU and Notre Dame did.

But come on . . . nobody thinks he's elite or is even arguing that.

I'm a little surprised at Bullock leading Medley. I have only heard good things about Medley since practice #3. But he was in the hole last week.

Wow...and then all you mambie pambies wonder why CBJ waited to release who the starting qb was. It didn't matter which of the three qbs were named, same style posts would have been made...just insert one of the three different names. I think it's the best choice for the team that Worley got the nod. Dobbs can come off the bench for a change of pace and Peterman can learn the offense better holding a clip board for awhile. But heaven forbid someone interject reasoning in to the debate!
