Worley is one good game

Yeah and maybe the o line could help out too..and maybe the receivers could step up ...give the dude a break

So it's everyone else's fault that Worley can't hit a wide open receiver? I'm sure he is a great kid and is trying his best, but he isn't cutting it. Period.

Hate to burn the redshirts but I'd like to see Ferguson or Rocketman play a little. Simms was the best we had until they let Bray start. Don't know til you try and we may as well try.

I learned alot from the Florida game. I thought that the obvious answer was Peterman. Then I saw him play and he played no better than Worley.

This taught me to trust in bUTch! bUTch knew all along that Peterman was not a clearly better than Worley, but with the fans grumbling so much, he elected to start Peterman. Seems he knew what he was talking about all along.

I trust the bUTch knows that neither of these freshmen are ready for the job, so he will keep them under wraps until next season, or until Worley is injured this season and will be force to put them in.

I trust in bUTch!!!

Well he did miss some but he also hit some and there were several drops. Maybe you weren't watching the game or missed those parts..again I'm not saying he is Manning but cut the guy some slack. And yes there are 11 people on the field who all have to do their job for one play to work and that is not happening yet

I didn't see several drops. I did see several over throws, 3 INTs, and more than a few one hop throws to open receivers.

More than half of Worley's problems are WR's not completing their patterns or running them incorrectly. They have to catch the easy ones too.

Worley is playing better than a lot of the guys around him. For instance, that could be the worst game I've seen Stone have at UT.

Tipped balls happen. He threw into coverage pretty badly on one play. Jones railed on Pig on the other pick because he didn't finish his pattern. That pick doesn't happen if he did.

The one hops are on him. For some reason he struggles to throw the easy underneath stuff. At least two of the "overthrows" where North quitting on his pattern.

I'm going to hang on to the hope Worley is on the verge of a breakout. Call me stupid, flame away, whatever. Each week he is showing signs of being really good. The pump fake pass to Smith in the end zone was an absolute thing of beauty. And it appears Pig cheated him from another. At least one pick wasn't his fault.

I also feel Croom and North are consistently getting better. Once they all get on the same page this unit could be very very solid.

Just my opinion. If it doesn't work out like that, then, well, it isn't anything different then what we are used to at this point. I'm going to take the glass half full approach and enjoy the process.

I have no illusions that this stretch of games is going to be absolutely ugly, but if they continue to improve as a passing unit, November could be fun to watch.

I agree the pick right before half was on Pig. But Worley's arm strength is uncle Rico like, footwork terrible, and pocket presence inexistent.

I still think he's Bipolar. One personality can do the job and the other one is in another world or something.

Crossing my fingers that the first personality is in the Georgia game for 4 quarters

Uh...Worley sucks...and he's (according to our coaches) the BEST we've got.

Which means we go toe-to-toe with the University of SOUTH Alabama...

'Cause we SUCK!

"Just sayin'..."

But...thanks for play'in Ernest T.

Suicide Watch...you must be on it

that wasn't what I meant, but I see where you're getting that from what I said. I agree with you. But at the same time, Jones would have been on the hot seat from the get go had he started a true freshman from day 1 that hadn't even participated in spring practice. I believe Worley is the best we've got right now, mainly because no one's seen what the others can do. I think he's just trying to hold on to those redshirts as long as possible. Personally i'd burn one of them now, because A.) we need a year of separation between Dobbs and Ferguson, and B.) until we burn one, we dont' even have a 2nd string QB. We're going to be forced into it sooner than later, I think.

Gotcha.

I think Jones has to pick one of the freshmen and give them a shot..redshirt or not.

He was on the hot seat the moment he took the job. Fans are getting fed up with losing and he can't mail it in on the season in the hopes of saving a QB for an extra year IMO.

The good thing about recruits is that there are always more of them. And I don't really see Dobbs or Ferguson being once in a generation kind of players you worry about saving for a title run that likely won't happen in their time.

Away from stealing all your hearts because he doesn't look that much different than the QB for Wisconsin and people think he is good...just sayin

I see your from the District of Columbia, are you a politician? You sound exactly like one!

Ok we'll I watched the Vols play w/ the likes of Jeff Francis, Todd Helton, Steve Alatorre and yes Sterling Hinton. Worley is as good or better than all of them but they had a better team around them so STFU

Shut up old guy!:bash:

He will never have a good game vs. a quality opponent... Therefore, he will never "steal my heart"

He has before, as a true freshman. Why would you think he is incapable of improving with more experience? Is this your first season following college football???

I'm with you .... hope he can turn it around, and haven't given up yet.
