Tenn better take the MSU game very seriously.Remember how we looked against Fla and Cal.Just because we beat an overrated Georgia team, we aren't back to championship form. Remember, Fulmer is still coaching this team and we all know his teams are notorious for playing to their competition's level and pulling it out in the 4th.The whole knock on Fulmer is that he can't consistently motivate his team. Also, I live just outside of Mississippi and early in the summer, the talk around MSU was that they were going to upset a big name team this year and that team would be Tennessee. Not to mention, MSU has improved greatly on defense. LSU couldn't block Titus Brown so I figure we will have trouble blocking him too. If we take them lightly, we will be 3-3 and struggling to make a bowl this year. You would think that a team as talented as Tenn would come in and walk over MSU but remember, we tend to make these type games alot more interesting than they should be.With all of that said, my prediction is Tenn-31 MSU-17
MSU hasn't played the same type of teams that we have.
That LSU game wasn't an example of how good their D is, I hope. We've played Fla, Cal, and Georgia. They've played LSU, South Carolina, and Auburn.LSU beat Fla,Auburn beat Fla, and South Carolina beat georgia. If anything, MSU has played tougher competition or a wash at the least.Face it, their defense has played better than ours

Actually, I said we haven't played the same type of competition. Hate to correct you, but Cal's offense and Meyers spread option aren't in the same mold of the teams you mentioned.Your quote was that Tenn has played tougher competition than MSU. All I'm saying is that MSU has played just as tough of a schedule so far. They are pretty much a wash so you can't say that our defensive numbers are worse than theirs because we played tougher competition.I'm not trying to be a horses rear, it just jumped out of the screen at me when i saw what you wrote about the competition comparison. And then some guy agreed with you.I had to correct you.

I wonder if that's the same thing Florida was saying 2 years ago and Bama was saying last year and Auburn was saying this year. Please don't under estimate MSU, for they are very capable of pulling off a major upset, especially at home.:yes:Miss State's terrible---Sly Croom can't coach at this level. UT wins this game by 3 TDs, without breaking a sweat.
I want to see the Vols win out of course. And I think they'll handle MSU fairly easy after the 3rd quarter. That said I'm embarrassed by the Cal loss and pissed by the Gator loss STILL...and even if the squad wins out IMO this season sucked. Label me a bad fan or no fan at all but by the way we lost those two games I'm still sick over it. Before I'm excommunicated and demonized for daring to not be satisfied with a possible 10-2......remember how proud and joyus you were in jan 99'? I do and I sure miss the feelin. Not taking them lighty....I think that fulmer knows that he's coaching for his job whether he recognizes it publicly or not and all of the emotion the team let out on georgia validates that there is an extraordinary amount of pressure on fulmer and the team to play well. If fulmer wants to keep his job he will have that team ready to play Miss. State.
And they are down to their 3rd string qb... We'd better F'n win..
