It's a toss up between the end of the 2000 Florida game and the 2004 Alabama game in which Bama's quarterback pitched the ball with one knee on the ground to Bama's running back whose knee was on the ground as he went down to catch the low pitch, I believe he ended up with around a 20-30 yard run.

the dropped ball called a touchdown against Florida.

i think there was a no call in memphis when one of the tiger high players' knee touched thr ground on a kick off return.

I remember thinking that to as the play was happening. However, the replays and the ESPY nomination video clearly shows it was just an amazing athletic play. Wish our defense would have played until the whistle.

2000 Florida game or the non-touchdown called during the georgia game before half time. i think it was the 1st year georgia had beaten us in a while. the game they trashed the hedges and field.

It was 2002 Bama, but yes, I was going to say that one as well.

Are we limiting this discussion to calls that hurt UT? If not, the personal foul/clock snafu at the end of the Florida game in '04 was pretty egregious.

I concur but they asked at Neyland and that call was at Florida, if memory serves.

The '04 game was in Knoxville.
yep...it was...and we'll just call it even for the 2000 Gaffney non catch....gators got theirs, we got ours....it's a wash now....

both were bad calls though.

Kesling's first season was one continuous bad call... :whistling:
GOOD call!!!! you know they could just replay any old John Ward game and i'd rather listen to that and watch the game live on TV....than listen to Bob live and watch the same game live.

I still cannot agree to that. The Gafney catch/non-catch was subjective. The personal foul call in '04 was subjective, though the official later admitted he should have called it both ways.

But the clock management was a clear, unequivocal, admitted, and totally objective screw up for which the SEC apologized.

Not a wash. Gators are owed at least one major break to determine outcome of a game.

Are you asking for some sort of welfare from the officials?

2002 alabama game. Qb sitting on his butt and throws a screen pass for a touchdown. i was in the south endzone and could tell he was down. that was one of the worst calls ever.

Well, yeah, but not exactly. More like a plea for the officiating Gods to reimburse us for the clock screw-up.
