Wasn't even close to the level of choke that was the 2007 Sweet 16 game against OSU. UT blew a 20 point lead in that one.

As far as pure execution goes? Yeah, I put it right there with that game. Pitiful.

Or the 2000 Sweet 16 game against UNC. THAT was probably the worst choke job I remember.

Plus if we're just talking basketball games that sucked, the game where Meeks scored 2000 points against us is worse than this.

Great, more unrealistic expectations! Weren't we picked to finish 11th in the SEC? I understand being disappointed, but don't act like we were picked to win the NCAA!!

I wonder how many people can trot out that excuse for a poor performance tonight. So what if they were guessed before the season started to finish eleventh in the SEC? Expectations can and should be adjusted when it becomes obvious that the original projections are wrong. The addition of Stokes and the fact that this team, in reality instead of on a magazine page, finished second in the SEC should tell you that finishing a game like that is a massive letdown. The team also had a real shot at the tournament, but laid massive eggs against an undermanned Alabama team and Ole Miss. But it's OK.

Playing like garbage when it counts is all right when a bunch of people said the team was supposed to be awful before the season started, right? The team that finished the year is not the team that started the year. Judge them by what they have shown they can do, not by theoretical nonsense. It isn't as rosy a picture as many would like though. Martin did a very good job with a patchwork team, but they shouldn't be immune to criticism because they were picked to finish 11th.

They did choke, but it happens. Just one of those deals where they stopped playing thinking it was already over. I just hope they work on 3 point shooting this summer. This team got better throughout the year and next year should be fun to watch.

They had a good stretch mid Jan and Feb, but I saw the same team that played against APU play against Savanna St High School. Last 3 games look like the Dec. team.
