i have some question..are you in the alumni association? do you hold season tickets to any u.t. sport? do you contribute to the volunteer scholarship athletic fund?...if so your objections to things that happen on the hill might get more results if you complain to them..money talks not threads on fan sites

They were an 8 seed, we were a 4.

Is that not somewhat comparable to (or even potentially greater than) the gap between an NIT 1 seed and an NIT 4 seed?

It's amazing how every single loss is the worst loss ever. Sometimes you don't win games. Especially when you don't have reliable perimeter shooters.

For the most part, the NIT is pretty much glorified scrimmages, and many times the higher seeded NIT teams really don't last long. I can only imagine at least some of it has to do with them really not caring that much about it.

I agree. Some of these same people were praising Cuonzo before the game and now they want to hang him. He had to coach the team he was dealt with. I see great improvement next year. Better than expected year this year. The one thing I think we need though and we've needed one for several years, is a pure shooter like Lofton. Someone you can count on to knock down a shot when you need it.

This game is on us. This was a lethargic display of basketball but that is ok. We exceeded expectations. Never thought we would be here.

The team looked tired and down last night. MTSU has a good team and wanted it more.

Stop with the Drama. Will not change anything.

Exactly. These guys didnt want to play ball. They wanted to go on spring break.

I love how the guy howling indignantly about what a horrible loss that was couldn't be bothered to even watch the game on TV. You don't care enough to watch because it's just the NIT, but somehow the players are still supposed to care enough that a loss is humiliating, awful, etc etc. Ridiculous.

You people forget this is the NIT. Not many people care, and look how much post-match coverage it got on espn and sportscenter. None.

There's no such thing as an embarrassing loss in the NIT. The season ended in New Orleans. It's like being angry because NFL players don't try hard enough in the Pro Bowl.

Guess I am. Hell; I went to MSG in 1985 and watched Don Devoe's team get killed by Bobby Knight's Indiana squad in our semi-final match up. Uwe Blab had his career game that night. But we won 3rd place the next night.
