Worst football program in the state?

South-Doyle hasn't made the playoffs since 2001, and has even had a winless season from 2002-2008, not to mention not a single winning season. Went out for them my senior year, but my coach was one of the biggest pricks I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. After I told my pop that my locker had been given away to someone else, and I had to dress in an open space in the locker room, he said, "I'll not have you play for that team anymore."

So, I had to quit. Wanted to stick it out, but my parents wouldn't let me. I still have much love for the Kees, but that doesn't change the fact that they have one of the worst athletic programs in East Tennessee, in every sport but wrestling and baseball.

Ha you have some grudge against Heritage for some reason. But yea, I agree.

I attended HHS.

Facts don't depict a grudge. Heritage has been garbage at football without Wilson. Not only did he attend Heritage but he has been the only winning coach there since....well, since he was the starting QB in the eighties. He was run out of Heritage by moronic parents who were so envious of Maryville that they called for his head the minute he didn't meet the very, suddenly lofty expectations that he built. Regardless, I'm sure he laughs himself to sleep every night when he realizes that he's head coach for one of the traditionally best programs in ET and Heritage continues to be Heritage.

<--- Alum of Cocke County class of '02

We had a couple of good teams those years, including going to the playoffs, and being ranked #5 in the state in 01 before losing 5 straight. The team now is just horrible. They went 3 or 4 games without even scoring.

Red boiling is by far the worst... I am a grad of macon co, and I have seen how bad rbs is. I remember a few years ago Trousdale Co beat them 91-0

Easily wartburg won about 1 game in the last 4-5 years

1 more than rbs. Their was an article on espn last year talking about one high school in the state of TN (maryville) had a class to never lose a football game and a class to never win a game (RBS).

and their still behind Red Boiling Springs as far as loses go,plus poor Wartburg plays in the east ans had Alcoa on their schedule, but RBS plays in Middle Tennessee and should find a somebody they can beat.We have some "start up private schools that should be beatable for RBS

I know we make fun of RBS,but really it's just truly sad when you can't beat some of the lame teams that Miiddle Tennessee has.....can't you find somebody like Nashville Christian,or Myrell Hyde to play.

has Crockett ever been to the playoffs?

Most the time, a victory over Daniel Boone is all that is required for them to have a successful season.

Someday....someday I'll be the head coach at Red Boiling Springs and people will forget that they were ever mentioned on this thread.

In Ohio, there's a couple of brutal ones. Grove City HS had some real good teams in the late 1990s until a new high school (Central Crossing) was built. Grove City hasn't done jack since, but Central Crossing is hideously bad. Their records since the team started have been:
2008 -- 1-9
2007 -- 1-9
2006 -- 2-8
2005 -- 2-8
2004 -- 2-8
2003 -- 3-7
2002 -- 0-10
Overall -- 9-61

Probably the worst, though, is Sebring McKinley.
2008 -- 0-10
2007 -- 1-9
2006 -- 0-10
2005 -- 1-9
2004 -- 1-9
2003 -- 1-9
2002 -- 0-10
2001 -- 0-9
2000 -- 0-10
Overall this decade -- 4-75
W-L record of the teams that they've beaten -- 3-36

Funny thing is that my uncle is a McKinley grad, and last year he asked me about how their team was (since he lives in Michigan now). I said, "Oh, I think they're 3-67 this decade." Without batting an eye, he said, "Well, I guess some things never change."

Yeah, I played football in Ohio, there are some bad ones there. If you are going on playoff bids, my school was built in 1965 and our first playoff appearance was last year. But we never had any records like some of the schools you guys are talking about.

When I was young, I went to school in the Johnson County school district in TN and I remember them being pretty bad. I dont know how they have done the past 10 years or so.

Mine wasn't the worst, but they're pretty bad. They built a new high school in Union County in 2000 and I was the member of the first freshman class.

2000 3-7
2001 2-8
2002 2-8
2003 3-7
2004 3-8 played an extra game and got an extra loss :)
2005 2-8
2006 2-8
2007 3-7
2008 3-7

23-68 overall. We've averaged 9.3 points a game over the last two years. Go Patriots.

My school had football from 1912-1976 and hasn't had it since. We are undefeated in the recent past haha.
