Would you like Bruce to resign now or wait out the season and not make a rash decision? I get the feeling many want him out asap that they feel is departure is inevitable anyways. I for one am reserving judgement for seasons end. I am trying not to let the poor performance of this one season over shadow what he has done here. I feel like everyone else he mad HUGE error in lying about something so small. I also give Bruce creedance for not doing the Kiffin when Iowa, Indiana and Memphis gauged his interest. He didn't command his salary match what Memphis reportedly was in ball park moneywise. He has marketed us well. I have gone to almost every game since I was a kid with my pops back before Stokely closed its doors and he sold popcorn to get into games before games were at stokely but at Alumni gymnasium. So we have spent our share of $$ over there in fact the news Sentinel interviewed him and had him on coverpage years ago when he went to pick up our season tickets he is 76 so has seen alot of good Ray Mears and Stu Aberdeen ball and a ton more bad basketball. I guess I am just trying to get a feel for everyone elses hopes for how this ends. I have endured many bad times in TBA and Bruce has made me feel happier than upset most days when walking to car after the games. Now I will acknowledge No one person is bigger than the University. I will say I love my coach and am not ready to give him his walking papers just yet. Enough about me and my thoughts, I want to poll the wounded fan base. I want to end this with a Go Vols!

Cool i am most likely in your corner as you can probably figure out from my post. As long as NCAA doesn't cripple us long term I say let Bruce right the ship.

I don't believe it would be the best thing for these young players for coach to quit on them but I do hope he regains the fire he has coached with in the past When the ncaa comes down on him later next year it might be time to quit but not now He needs to show some character and get this team to play to their potential

yes now! at first i wanted him to stay has long as UT would allow him, but after the last few games and seeing that his son (steven pearl) is seeing playing time, I think its best he leaves now. With his son seeing this much playing time and starting against ut-martin is adding fuel to the fire!!!

At the end of the season, yeah, probably. This "slump" further solidifies that opinion.

Won't be the end of the world if he leaves, contrary to popular belief.

Had the unversity fired him prior to the season when this all came out, I wouldn't have had a problem with it.

Now, it would probably be more harmful if he was released or resigned midseason...

I hope Bruce can survive but he may not. That being said, every time I see John Calipari on the sidelines it makes me wonder with 2 vacated fianl 4s if he can still coach why do anything to anybody? The NCAA picks and chooses its battles and Pearl did himself in and they will drop the hammer on him but I wish they would be consistent across the board with all these guys that bash the rules to pieces.

Not even remotely close to being comparable.
