You're one of those that believe we have no options but Bruce and past coaches, aren't you?

The "who ya gonna get?" argument is weak. Good coaches are out there, always. Bruce Pearl wasn't a name on most Vol fans wish list before Buizz got fired. They could do better than Pearl, or they could botch a hire. Results determine that. The UT job is better than ever: Top notch facilities, supportive a.d., and big checkbook, and roster full of talent. These are all things Vol bball has never been able to offer a coach. Therefore, we can't use past exp to say UT can't get great coach. Not saying a Bruce Pearl but maybe a coach who has different strengths and is great in his own right. If Mizzou can land a Mike Anderson, so can UT. Noone can argue Pearl's impact, and this job is better than ever due to him. However, the prospects of future candidates does not change the fact that what he did is worthy of firing. I don't have much to offer and post hardly ever, but thought I'd chip in. God Bless!

Post more often. The use of logic is needed desperately around these parts at times.

Thanks brother! Will do. I have been reading for years but never posted because of not wanting to get hammered for not having enough posts to have a valid view. Haha. I enjoy the board. Happy New Year!

lol:lol:lol:lol: Great post, keep them coming. If UT does have a new coaching search it shouldn't take the AD long to fill the position. All he will have to do is come to this board & take his pick of the litter. I mean, there seems to be so many great coaches w/ lots of ideas that differ from Pearl right here on this board alone. Just wondering what some of your win/loss records & winning percentages are over the last 5yrs of college coaching? I'm assuming this Hat fellow hasn't lost a game in his entire career. He seems to have lots of supporters who back his every word. Hire him tomorrow & not only we he deliver us a 30pt beatdown of Memphis he may even bring Elvis back from the dead to perform at halftime. He will not only guarantee wins but also some of the best halftime entertainment college basketball has ever seen.
